Political scientist speaks at Kallali weekend Professor EytanOilboa of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem will host the Kallah Weekend sponsored by the Jewish Cultural Arts Council on Marcti 19 to 21. He will speak on the Middle East peace process at Temple Israel, Beth Israel Synagogue, B'nai Israel Synagogue and Beth El Synagogue (see times and lecture subjects, at right.) Eastern affairs. In the upcoming meeting between President Bill Clinton and Israeli Prime Minister Itzhak Rabin, the two leaders' first. Professor Gilboa will be in direct contact with one of Mr. Rabin's principal consultants. NCCJ speaks out on Bosnia In an attempt to raise public itwarenesa about genocide being committed in BoBhia-Hercogovina, the Midlands Chapter of National Council of ChriBtianH and Jews (NCCJ) ia urging people to "call on our national and world leadera' to end the atrocities. "It is time for the people to speak,* said Donkid A. Yale, presiding oo-chair of the chapter. In a news release, the chapter calls the genocide in Boania-Herzegovina "the worst manifestation of bigotry and racism,* and asks "our national and world leaders ti) use their significant influence and power to halt Die killing, rape and starvation of the Bosnian Mu4lims.*

Grant applicationn to the Herbert Goldsten TruHt are due April 2, according to Joseph Kirahenbaum, president of the Trust,' The (joldsten Trust allocates funds to Jewish religious, charitable and educational organizations in tha matxopolitan area. The Trust was established by the late Herbert (joldsten and is funded through a bequest from his estate following his death in 1990. Mr. Kirehenbaum noted that special consideration will be given to grant requests for projects which require substantial funding that would not otherwise be available from general community resourct^s and which would have a favorable long-term impact on the Omaha Jewish community. Applications requesting relatively small amounts which could be funded through other sources will only be considered in extraordinary situations,- he added. Grant application forms have been sent to Jewish organisations and are also available through the Jewish Federation Foundation.
