Ms. Golbitz continues to serve the JCAC in budget planning, activity scheduling and securing community participation to events. Janie Kulakofsky has been picked by the AntiDefamation League/Community Relations committee because of her service as chairman of Education/Scheduling and Coordination of the Anne Frank exhibit, the announcement stated. "I got to know ADL/ CRC through the exhibit. I believe the work of this office is one of the bestkept secrets of the Jewish community. The ADL/CRC . . has not only honored me with this award, but I have been elected to serve a three-year term as an ADL board member," Ms. Kulakofsky said. Ms. Kulakofsky has served as a Federation campaign volunteer and captain, served on the National Council of Jewish Women, the JCC's membership committee, and JCAC exhibit. She is currently on the JCC board, and is co-chairperson of the 1993 ARTZA trip to Israel. Cliff Levitan has been selected by the , Jewish Federation of Omaha as its Volunteer of the Year. started 15 years of service for the then new JCC complex in the areas of building and grounds management. His involvement with the Building and Grounds committee has continued to the present. "I do what I do because someone has to do it. I did not expect to be honored and rewarded in this way," Mr. Levitan said. He acted as a committee chairman and/or committee member at times when the committee conaisted of only himself and one or two other individuals, it was noted. Mr. Levitan has utilized his professional building experience to direct campus management functions. He has worked behind the scenes to upgrade the facilities for the membership and has contributed to the efficiency of the entire operation. As immediate past president, he has continued his concern for and his involvement with the Center. He has helped to develop future leadership and has helped with the financial planning which will allow JCC programs and services to thrive for many years. Mr. Polikov stated, "I am pleased to receive this award. I enjoy doing the volunteer work that has enabled me to be honored." The Bureau for th6 Aging has chosen Steve Redler to receive its Volunteer of the Year award. Mr. Redler was the Bureau's president for four years and haa been on the board of directors for 11 years.
