'' I wanted to be chairman of Yom Ha'Atzmaut," amtinued Mrs. Rogert. "I asked to do it. I thought it would be a great opportunity to use my abilities and talents for the good of the community. It's given me a tremendous sense of belonging to this community and I'm very proud of the work done by our hundreds of voliuteers. "I saw it as an opportunity to expand Yom Ha'Atzmaut in the past," added Mrs. Hostyk. "I wanted it to be a day for children and adults—a day of education and cultural information. I wanted to make sure there were things for adults to do and learn along with sharing the day with family.
