Howard Kooper has been named chairman of Beth El Synagogue's Building Committee, it was announced today. Six special programs inchiding a "Shofar Factory" and a "Special Needs Sunday School Class" have been funded by the Esther K. NewmanyCarolyn Kully Newman Grants Committae. The Shofar Factory is a hands-on experience ior children, whereby they can make their own shofars in the traditional way of preparation and learn about the significance in relationship with the High Holiday experience.
