The national president of Hadassah will be in Omaha Oct. 30 for the local chapter's HMO donor luncheon during which honor will be paid to Anne Katzman. Ruth W. Popkin, Hadassah's 18th national president, is immediate past na-. tional vice president and coordinator of the Fundraising Division. This year's donor chairmen are Beverly Franklin and Patricia Newman. Mrs. Popkin has served as chairman of the Hadassah Zionist Youth Commission and as chairman of the annual Salute to Israel Parade that attracts thousands of people to Fifth Avenue in New York City. t
She was co-chairman of the 1977 National.Convention in New York City and of the 1978 National Hadassah convention in Israel, which was the first convention for the full delegate body that Hadassah held in Israel. It was called the '"Convention Without Walls," and over 3,000 delegates and guests were transported in 65 buses to meetings and special events that were held in different parts of the country. "A dedicated, dynamic woman who presents the cause of Zionism in an enthusiastic, energetic and convincing manner, Mrs. Popkin is a favorite speaker throughout the Country," the announcement stated.

Dr. Paul Shylten, general chairman, State of Israel Bonds, announced that Harlan J. Noddle will be presented the "Heritage Award" at the Nov. 17 Omaha State of Israel ' Bonds Dinner of State. \ , In announcing 1 Mr. Noddle's selection, Dr. Shyken said, "Someone with such dedication and support to our community as Harlan should II make this year's t ; dinner a real sue- ' ' ' cess". Harlan J . Noddle Mr. Noddle, a native of Omaha, received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and then entered the United States Army Security Agency as a first lieutenant. Before starting Noddle Development Company, Mr. Noddle spent 10 years as director of real estate with Hinky Dinky. Today he is president of Noddle Development Company which develops, owns and operates shopping centers.

His energy, enthusiasm and dedication is not limited to only his business, but reaches into his community as well. He has been on the Planning and Budgeting committee of United Way, and was co-chairman of the Rose Blumkin Jewish Home and Livingston Plazacommittees. Since 1975, Mr. Noddle has led four of the five missions to Israel for the Jewish Federation of Omaha. He is a past Federation president, past Federation vice-president, and has headed almost every division of the Federation campaign, many more than once. Mr. Noddle was past PatronHost chairman for the State of Israel Bonds Dinner of State when his partner, Joe Kifshenbaum, was honored. Currently, Mr. Noddle is on the Board of Directors of the National Conference of1 Christians and Jews, Campaign Committee of the. Jewish Federation and executive director of the Search Committee for a new Federation director. In accepting this honor, Mr. Noddle said, "It is my way of helping Israel, her economy and the Jewish People. If we as Jews do not help Israel, who will". ' .
