By Lynne Appel Israel Bonds publicity chairman Swirls of color, texture and creativity will abound when the Omaha Women's Division State of Israel Bonds Presents "The Glory in Freedom and in Fashion," a style show and luncheon for the benefit of Israel Bonds. The event will take place on Sept. 11 at noon at the Jewish Community Center. A preview of Israel's latest designer fashions and fall arrivals from The Avenue will unfold for women in the community who purchase a $500 or more Israel bond through Women's Division. "I've tried to select the most colorful, intriguing fashion that people will want to see," said Sallye Levin who is coordinating the style show with Karen Levin. Because some money from Israel bonds is invested in the apparel manufacturing industry in Israel, it was felt tliat a style show featuring Israeli fashion would be an appropriate inclusion for this year's luncheon. The ready-to-wear merchandise for the fashion show has been supplied by the Israel Company for Fairs and Exhibitions in cooperation with the Fashion Center of the Israel Export Institute of Tel Aviv. American fashion and accessories will be supplied by The Avenue. Models for this year's show will be: Etta Epstein, Pauline Guss, Mickey Sturm, Margo Riekes, Maxine Kirshenbaum, Patty Nogg, Cheryl Kricsfeld, Marcia Cohen, Dorothy Freiden and Susie Shyken. • Designers featured from Israel will include Gottex beachware; sport manufacturer Gali; Berger, a manufacturer who specializes in cotton casuals mainly found in department stores and boutiques in Israel; Gavi' Model's free long shirt look accompanied by the knitted top; and newcomer to Israel fashion Gingette. .t j ! r" Th6' Israeli iasnidris" travel throughout the United States for events such as this and will not be for sale.
