Also on exhibit will be the story of Jewish veterans of World War I from Nebraska nnd Concil Bluffs, Iowa. In addition to Klutznick's continuing work in Jewish and business activities, he devotes much of his.time to the Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture in New York and to tho support of the Klutznick Museum at B'nai Brith International Headquarters in Washington. In a recent quote in a; major story in the Chicago Tribune Klutznick said he is "more and more into museums." and that "we underestimate the importance of tho past to tho present". Also highlighted at tho meeting will be the presentation of the first issue of the Nebraska Jewish Historical Society "Memories of the Jewish Midwest Journal" which has been mada possible by a gift from Irvin and Phyllis Sherman. The meeting will conclude with an old-fashioned ice cream social and a drawing for a free membership.

The Soltoiof foundation was formed in 1977 by Sokolof and hi3 late wife, Ruth Rosinsky Sokolof. Upon her death, he established the Ruth Sokolof Spacial Education Scholarship Fund to provide monies for students to pursue graduate studios in special education. The fimd is administered by the Bureau of Jewish Education of the Jewish Federation of Omaha. During the next few weeks, the NHSA will announce plans for its next major undertaking, a project with national ramifications. Sokolof ia a member of Temple Israel. His daughter Karen, her husband Gary Javitch, and their three children, Jennifer, Markt and Rachel, live in Omaha.
