Roughly half of the proceeds from the Campaign are sent to support Israel. The other half of the Campaign contributions support the Jewish Federation of Omaha and its seven agencies. "We have to take it upon ourselves to ensure there will continue to be a Jewish community in Omaha. It takes work and it takes money. We can't sit around and wait for the other guy to do it. With that type of thinking, there will be no services available to the Jewish community in a few short years. We have to do it, and we have to start doing it now. "Just look at the needs. Visit the Rose Blumkin Jewish Home. How can we abandon the essential services the Bureau for the Aging provides for our elderly? Walk through the 'J'. Where else in Omaha can Jews go to find these types of facilities and programs designed to enrich ourselves and our children, arid hopefully, our children's children? Do you have any idea how many people — your neighbors — Jewish Family Service serves each year? "You would be astonished to learn the extent of this agency'B services to tha.QitaaiUV: Jewishcommunity. Our Jewish Federation Library is one of the finest collections of Jewish

The Jewish Frees, our link to Jews around the world, is the only way we can effectively communicate to the total Jewish community regarding events and issues which affect us all. The Bureau of Jewish Education focuses onthe religious education of our youth. This agency also administers scholarships and loans for deserving high school and college students. "It should come as no surprise that as the material and spiritual needs of our Jewish community grow larger, the financial needs also expand. If we are to continue to provide these and other essential services, we must take it upon ourselves to make the commitment to fund these services. It takes no imagination to recognize what needs to be done. We need your contributions. It is up to you to perpetuate our Jewish community."
