Martin Lehr heads 1984 Men's Campaign Martin J. (Marty) Lehr has accepted the chairmanship of the Men'* Campaign for 1084. Mr. Lehr ha» held several leadership posts including chairmanship of the Grand Gifts Division and as a director of the Board of the Federation. He is an active member and former Board member of Temple Israel. Me servea ns chief executive officer of Grace Meyer Insurance Company. He is also, an active member of Suburban Rotary. In determining Ihc slogan for the 1984 Campaign, "Share the Vision — dive to Life", the lendershipof the IMA wanted American .lews to share in a nense of pride for the amazing accomplishment* which have been renli/fil in Israel. In'M>short yearn we have rebuilt a nation out of the (liiinporn, revived an ancient language now common to people who came as pioneer* and refugees from over 100 different countries with different language and cultures. We have created new cities out of ruins, made the desert bloom, mmie phenomenal advances in agricultural and scientific discoveries, and have inspired the cnuso of democracy and freedom throughout the world. When we make our pledge to tho Federation Campaign we not only shore in the vision of the wonders of whnt Inruel has In-come but also in the vision of what Jewish life in Omaha hn* In-come. , Eighty year* ago, under the presidency of Carl Brandel*, this Jewish Federation was begun under the name of the Associated Jewish Charities. From the vision of these men in 190.1 to coordinate' fund raiding for Jewish purposes tins evolved and emerged the wide array of services provided from our beautiful campus.
