On July 4,1976, Israeli commandoes stormed Ihc old terminal building of
the Entebbe airport in Uganda to free more than 100 hostages held by PLO terrorists and Idi Amln's Ugandan Army... This heroic military mission — perhaps the most outstanding rescue in history — should have failed. There was no way to beat what must have been a million to one odds against success. Yet, a gallant Israeli Air Force team flying American-made C130 aircraft delivered the necessary combination of equipment and determined soldiers to accomplish the task. Col.
