Day School names Secular Studies head Jewish Day School's Jewish Studies Department, Mrs. Riekes added. In addition to her classroom.Ms. Saunders has been active in curriculum development and has administered the Open Elementary in Omaha.
Lucille Sounders Lucille Saundcrs has been appointed head teacher of the new Secular Studies department of the Jewish Day School, according to MargoKickcs, chairman of the Jewish Day School Hoard. Ms. Saunders has over 20 years teaching experience, many of them in private educational settings. She is know by professionals and parents as one of the most talented elementary teachers in Nebraska, Mrs. liickes said. While working towards an M.A. in elementary education at Fort Wright College. Spokane, Washington, Ms. Saunders studied the British educational methods, which included the use of learning centers and. the "prepared" educational environment. Her current approach parallels closely the erne which has evolved at the
