Except for 10 years between IMS and 1967 Jerusalem had always been united. The artificial partition of the city took place In 1043 when Jordan seized East Jerusalem. Israel's victory In 1907 reunited the city. Today it ii again a unified city whoso redivislon appears

Day School students raise $1100 plus in Work-a-thon By Kllcn Gordman Federation Staff "You should be very proud of what you have accomplished. Giving money for t2dakah Is an important part of being a Jew. You have helped strengthen the Omaha Jewish community," Marshall Kushncr told the students at the Omaha Jewish Day School, "Just as your parents work for the contributions they make, you have worked to contribute to the Federation." Mr. Kushncr, chairman of the 1382 Federation Campaign, visited the Day School to distribute awards in recognition of the students collecting over $1100 for the Federation Campaign. The idea for the Work-athon came about a s i l h e result of the recent allocation to the Day School from the Federation. "We wanted to show our gratitude to the Federation

and share what we could," said Harris Goldstein, director of the Day School. "The individualized curriculum is suited to the Work-a-thon fundraising concept. As the children completed their studies their progress was recorded on a star chart. They received

From generation to generation access was by the Damascus Gate to the north, Zlon Gate to the south, Jaffa Gate to the west and the Lion's Gate to the east. It was through the latter that the Israel Defenie Forces stormed and captured the Old City In 1967.

The rcjectloneat Arab states and their supporters wont no lisa than all of Jerusalem,so Uiat now the issue is sovereignty - Israeli, Arab, or international. Few need to be reminded how thoroughly Jerusalem has permeated Jewish consciousness since the destruction of the Second Temple in 70A.D. Jerusalem has infused
