Joe Kirehenbaum, Co-chairman of the 1978 Men's Campaign, and Louis B. Solomon, Federation Executive Director, have been invited to Join with American Jewish leaders to meet with Israel's Prime Minister Menachem Begin in Israel Aug. 28 through Sept. 2. "This vitally important mission is taking place at a critical Juncture in the history of the State of Israel. This will be the first American group to meet with the new Prime Minister and the new government in Israel," they said, Joe Kirsehnbaum stated, "I am most excited that my first visit to Israel will be as a member of the first American delegation to meet with Prime Minister Begin. I look forward to sharing the information we receive with the Omaha Jewish community."

First Class Trip

Information Meeting Planned For Men's Israeli Mission Harlan Noddle and Joe Kirshenbaum, co-chairmen of 1978 Men's Campaign, announced today that they have scheduled an open information meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 7:30 p.m. at the Jewish Community .Center to discuss plans for the Omaha "Men's Fact-finding Mission" to Israel scheduled for Nov. 26 through Dec. 2. Marlene Solomon Is Appointed Director of Jewish High School Marlene Solomon has been appointed as the new director of the Omaha High School of Jewish Studies. Announcement of the appointment was made by Dr. James Wax, chairman of the board of the high school which Is cosponsored by Beth Israel Synagogue and Beth El Synagogue. Mrs. S o l o m o n h a s a bachelor of science degree in Russian education with minor concentrations in speech communications and theater arts from the University of Minnesota. Holocaust Memorial Planned for JCC A memorial at the Jewish Community Center to the victims of the Holocaust soon will be a reality, Mrs. Isaac Nadoff, Memorial Committee chairman, has announced. The memorial, In the form of a large marble facing mounted on the wall of the JCC lobby, will be a gift to the Community of Omaha and the State of Nebraska from Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lewis of Dallas. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis have undertaken similar memorials in many other .communities throughout the country. " • "We hope that the dedication ceremony of this

Teachers Named for Day School The Jewish Day School of Omaha has appointed Johanna Bromberg and Mina Engelson, as teachers for the coming academic year, beginning this September. They will be teaching in the Jewish Studies Program, which is part of the Montessori Elementary Day School, located at 126th and Pacific Streets. Johanna Bromberg, bom in Germany, and raised In Tampa, F l a . , received "her bachelor of arts degree from Brandels University. In addition, she received a masters degree In library science from the University of Missouri. For the past two years, Mrs. Bromberg has supervised the major task of cataloging for the library of the Jewish Federation. She has also been active in various organizations, and Is currently a vicepresident of the Omaha Chapter of Hadassah. Mrs. Bromberg is the wife of Rabbi Kenneth Bromberg, of Beth El Synagogue, and the mother of three. Mlna Engelson, born in Gedera, Israel, served In the Israeli army and also taught public school in Gedera. After moving to this country, she taught Hebrew School in Trenton and Metuchen, N.J. Subsequently, she obtained a bachelor of science degree from Rutgers University. A

Another new appointment to the general studies program at Mcmtessori School Is Ms. Helen A. Mainerl, who will be a directress for younger students in the elementary program. A native of Brazil, Ms. Malneri also spent some time in Israel, living on a kibbutz.
