Omaha Joins Protest Editor's Note: The following statement was released by Steven Luttbeg, chairman of the CRC-ADL executive committee.

'

OMAHA - Steven Luttbeg, chairman of JCRC-ADL committee said that "we, along with all civilized people, were shocked and outraged by the calloused and precipitous release of PLO terrorist Abu Daoud by a French court and with the obvious acquiesence of the French government. "It Is interesting to note that the French government, In refusing to honor Israel's request for extradition under a Franco-Israeli treaty, not only exhibited cynical disregard for International law and morality, but also made a mockery of France's recent signing ol the AntiTerrorism Treaty adopted by the Councils of Europe in its support.for the development of a treaty against the taking 'oflmwges approved recently by the General Assembly of »U.W:

v''There was

no Justification for France's decision to submit the case to any tribunal. The arrest should have been 1 automatic and legal proceedings ought only to have been held in connection with the formal request for extradition that was to have been submitted at a later stage. The breaches of France of international law will only serve to encourage International terrorists who will, from now on, be aware that a legal precedent exists making it possible for murderers to find assylum on French soil under the cloak of legal proceedings." Luttbeg urges, that the following actions.be taken: write or telegraph the French ambassador In Washington, and or the French President expressing your sentiments.
