Omaha Hosts BB District for 4th Time gave the main address at the opening banquet. Nearly 750 delegates and their families from around the region convened Irt Omaha in 19G0 for the annual B'nai B'rith meeting. OMAHA —The 108th annual convention of B'nai B'rith, District 6, opens in Omaha Sunday evening, June 27 at the Omaha Hilton. Three days of conferences and business meetings will be capped by an installation banquet on Wednesday, June 30, at Peony Park, Where outgoing District 6 President Marvin K. Ballin will be honored with a special presentation and gift for his service to B'nai B'rith by the District and by his home community of Sioux Falls, S.D. According to Ed A, Rosen, trustee of Henry Monsky Lodge, Omaha, "a Jewish Community the size of Sioux Falls can be proud of producing a fine leader such as Ballin". At the installation banquet, to which the community is invited, cocktails will be served at 6 p.m. . Following dinner, the speaker of the evening will be Alfred A. Atherton, Jr., United States Assistant Secretary of State. A completely kosher, meal will be served at the banquet, spokesman said, and tickets for the evening may be purchased for $15 per person by calling Jerry Novak, Ell Zalkin or Alvin Abramson, who- are co-chairmen.
