OMAHA — Chaim Herzog, the man entrusted with representing Israel in the increasingly Indifferent arena that is United Nations General Assembly, will be guest speaker at the inaugural meeting of the 1976 Omaha Jewish Philanthropies Campaign. Israel's Ambassador to the UN — author, educator, military man and son of the late Isaac Herzog, Chief Rabbi of Israel — will speak at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, In the Grand Ballroom of the Holiday Inn, 72nd and Grover. Because of the Intense interest in Israel and its needs — as well as those of the Omaha Jewish community — Philanthropies officials are expecting an overflow crowd. Reservations are limited,,they said, and they urged persons wishing to attend to call either Ruth Render or Barbara McCormick at the Omaha Jewish Federation office, 334-8200, as soon as possible. Minimum contributions for the evening are $500tothe Men's Division of the Campaign, $150 to theWomen's Division. There will be no announcement of Individual pledges. "The importance of Ambassador Herzog's visit to our community cannot be underestimated," said Campaign General ChairmeniDick Hiller and Leo Meyerson.
