The Greater New York jptonfcrence held a "Free ijriva" rally only a few weeks ' Meanwhile in Moscow, Miaa iblmanaon aaid that while •migration lo Israel waa the "aim of my life" she did not qpant to leave Ihe country nnmediately, at officials are

insisting, without seeing her Iwo brolheri and her husband, who also were sentenced in Ihe alleged hijack allempi during the first Leningrad trial. She aaid she had not aeen them since Ihey were all arrested in June, 1V70 and would aak Soviet authorities to alao pardon them. Since her releaae, Mias Zaimanson has been staying at the summer cottage outside Moscow of Andrei D. Sakharov, the physicist and leading Soviet dissident. SaUiarov, who is not Jewish, told Western newsmen that Mias Zaimanaon was taken by KGB agents for a two-hour visit with her hust>and, Edouard Kuznetsov. Kuznetsov had originally been sentenced to death during the first Leningrad (rial but the sentence was later commuted to 15 years imprisonment as a result of worldwide outcry. Miss Zalmanson's brother, Israel,

was sentenced to eight years at the trial and her other brother, Vulf, to 10 years. The 30-year-old Miss Zaimanson is a mechanical engineer who formerly worked in a Riga factory. She married Kuznetsov In lt70 Struggle for Freedom The struggle for Sylva's release began almost as soon as she was sentenced. Protests and demonstrations were held regularly in many countries but were all futile. Political sources here suggested the surprise release might be a Soviet gesture to influence Impending discussion on the Jackson Amendment to the Trade Reform bill and also s form of support to President Ford who has given hints of s Soviet readiness to discontinue persecution of Jews wishing lo leave Russia.

Capucci Confesses To Terrorist Charges JERUSALEM. <JTA) Archbishop Hillarlon Capucci, accuaed of smuggling arms to terrorists aa the envoy of the Fatah organization, will not be able to hire a foreign lawyer to defend him. Israeli law does not permit foreigners to appear as lawyers In a court trial except for cases in which tlie defendant may be facing a death sentence, such as waa the case in Ihe Eichmann trial when a German lawyer was permitted to defend him. Capucci, head of the Greek Catholic Church in Jerusalem and the West Bank, admitted

over the weekend that he acted as a courier for the terrorist group, sccordlng to government sources. The Archbishop made his admission not only to his Israeli Interrogators but also to the Apostolic delegate in Jerusalem and to the three Greek Catholic prelates who arrived last Wednesday in Israel from Lebanon. The prelates were representing the head of the Greek Catholic Church, Patriarch Maximus V who resides In Beirut. The Greek Catholic Church nominally accepts the Pope's authority and is not part of Itie larger Greek OrtlKMlox Church.
