'Musical Tribute to Israel1 April 21 at Joslyn Museum Omaha — "A Musical Tribute to the State of Israel" on Saturday, April 21, will launch the three week long official activities preceding the May 7 observance of the 25th' anniversary' of the State of Israel. T h e 8:15 p.m. program in the Joslyn Art Museum Witherspoon Hall will be open to. the public f r e e of charge by reservation ticket, acording to Mrs. Donald Sturm, concert evening ,chairman. Christian Clergy Attend Institute at Temple Israel Omaha—More than 300 Protestant clergymen from Omaha and surrounding areas will meet today at Temple Israel to participate in the 34th Annual . Institute on Judaism for Christian Clergy, starting at 10 a.m. Dr. Sidney H. Brooks, rabbi of Temple Israel, will preside at the all day session at which Dr. Frederick C. Schwartz, rabbi of Mount Zion Temple, St. Paul, Minnesota, will be guest lecturer. Rabbi Schwartz r e c e i v e d both Ordination and Doctor of Hebrew Letters from the Hebrew Union College, Cincinnati. lie is a lecturer with St. John's University and St. Catherine's College in St. Paul, and is visiting Professor at Augsburg College and Carlton College. He_ is also President of tho Minnesota Rabbinical Association.
Omaha — An expert in the field of J e w i s h community planning, Charles Zibbell, will be the guest speaker at the annual meeting of the Omaha Jewish Federation. The 7:30 p.m. meeting will be held Sunday, April 15 at Beth Israel Synagogue, 52nd and' Charles Street. The meeting is open to all members of Jewish community and everyone is invited to attend. In his role as the Associate Executive D i r e c t o r of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare'Funds, Mr. Zibbell has special responsibilities in the a r e a s of community planning, leadership development, J e w i s h education and college youth. Discussing "The Changing Quality of Life in Our Community," Mr. Zibbell will focus on areas of primary concern to Omaha Jewry. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Harvard University and Boston Hebrew College, Mr. Zibbell received his Master's degree in Social Service from Boston University. He served as executive director, of the Jewish Federation Council of Los Angeles from 1950 until 19GB at .which, time he was named to'his present post.

Federation d r i v e chairman, Gary Hill, presided, along with Cece Hill, chairman of the women's division. The schedule of activities was outlined as follows: For the men, a Big Gifts luncheon was held Wednesday, March 26, at the Radisson Cornhusker Hotel. The honored guest, Daniel Pinkas, former press officer to Brigadier General Yeshayahu Gavish, commander of the Southern (Egyptian) Front.
