Omaha—At a recent meeting of the Omaha Council of Rabbis, the following statement was issued in response to recent wide-spread publicity aimed at conversion of Jews. "Members of the Jewish community have recently received mailings, read a number of newspaper articles and experienced personal approaches in an effort to convert Jews to some new forms of Christianity or to pseudo Jewish-Christianity. "Secure and committed Jews y/'Al not be concerned by this growing missionary activity. Surveys have indicated that the success of these activities has been extremely minimal. Publicity to the contrary is simply not true and has been generalized from a few sensational cases. "With possible exceptions, if any, those Jews who have become part of this movement are either temporarily-•Impressionable youth, Jewlshiy uninformed, emotionally disturbed, or perhaps reacting to some unhappy life experience.

' "If you receive invitations to obvious missionary events personally or in the mails, you need take no action whatever.
