Israel Aliyah Official Will Speak In Omaha Omaha — Mr. Yaacov Patt, Regional Director of the Israel Aliyah Center in Chicago, will be one of the featured speakers at the "YOU—and Israel" Day on Sunday, November 5 at Beth El Synagogue, starting at 1:30 p.m. Mr. Patt, form e r l y Chief Pensions Officer and Deputy Director at the Rehabilitation Department" of the Yaacov Patt Israel Ministry of" Defense, has been at his present position with the Israel Aliyah Center for the Midwest since September, 1970. The Center serves as an Information and Guidance Center for people who are interested in living in Israel and helps process those persons who desire to become Olim. Workshops at the first "YOU —and Israel" Day to be held in Omaha will have as moderators Dr. Maurice Schwartz, Mrs. Sidney Mirvish, Mr. Donald Nogg and Joel Cassman. Rabbi Mason Goldstein Installed By His Father in Lincoln Ceremony Yaacov Patt

Workshop topics include Investments and Business Opportunities, Youth and Service, So You Want to Live in Israel and Travel in Israel. The sessions are open to all members of the community as well as members of the Jewish communities of Sioux City, Lincoln, Council Bluffs and Des Moines.

Mrs. Milton Margolin Named Honor Recipient Omaha—Mrs. Milton Margolin has been named as one of 10 women in the community to be honored by the Germaine Monteil Company and Brandeis Department Store. A Champagne Tea for the honorees will bo held Monday, November'6 at 3 p.m. in t h e downtown , Brandeis Store Auditorium.

Lincoln—Rabbi Nason Goldstein and the'officers of the Board of Tifereth Israel Synagogue were installed at a dinner held at the Synagogue October 15. Herman Ginsburg served as Master- of Ceremonies at the dinner and installed the following new officers: Gerald S. Grant, President; Bernard Wishnow, vice-president; Everett Evnen, Treasurer; Sheldon K u s h n e r , Secretary, and Charles Sherman, Trustee. Rabbi David Goldstein who for many years filled the rabbinical post at Beth El Synagogue in Omaha, presided at the installation of his son, Rabbi Nason Goldstein. , In his remarks, Rabbi Goldstein recalled Jewish life in Omaha and Lincoln some 40 years ago when he joined the Beth El congregation. He spoke of the hardships of those Jewish families who came to the midwest as immigrants and their efforts to build solid Jewish communities. Rabbi Myer Kripke, currently serving the/ Omaha Beth El Congregation, was among the special guests attending. Congratulating Rabbi Nason Goldstein, Rabbi Kripke noted that the event marked the first time a native Nebraskdn had returned to be installed as a rabbi in his home state. Rabbi Nason Goldstein and his wife, Carole

are the parents of two children, Deena and Arnon. Prior to coming to Lincoln, Rabbi Goldstein served for three years as the rabbi at the Montifiore Synagogue in Salt Lake City.

For-the past several years Germaine Monteil and leading ' department stores have been . honoring "Beautiful Activisits" in many major cities. This is the first year Omaha has been included in tho program. Mrs. Margolin will be cited for her many years of volunteer service. She has been active for "17 years in the Senior Citizens Club at the Jewish Community Center which is cosponsored by the Omaha Section of the National Council of Jewish Women.
