A number of weeks ago in' this column I called attention to the obvious efforts of the two major presidential candidates to woo Jewish votes by out-doing e a c h o t h e r with s t r o n g pro-Israel statements. And to show the neutrality of the Jewish Press, we will invite paid political ads from both presidential candidates.. Even Blumberg and Hertzberg can't object to that.

Sandy, showing no outward reaction when someone shouted "Mazel tov!," was then asked why he hadn't discussed his religious beliefs in his otherwise outspoken 19G6 autobiography, "Koufax."
