THE JEWISH PRESS
Chairman V Message Never has a Philanthropies campaign started with such cooperation and understanding among the women of Omaha. Never has the need for cooperation and understanding been more critical. We have been asked to double our goal in 1971. ' We frankly confess that we are awestruck at the. prospect. In awe—but not afraid, becaiise the Jews of Omalia are Jews of quality. They sincerely feel their Jewish identity and responsibility, and will respond in kind. The 1971'Campaign Cabinet has, hopefully, a proper blend of experience; enthusiasm and energy; and has, assuredly, a spirit of total commitment. The Cabinet has planned leadership and worker training that will send knowledgeable campaigners out to reach every woman in the Jewish community. Once again, the campaign is based, on personal solicitation,. ; Predicated on the premise that it is now or never; that we must sacrifice to survive; we have established a new division, Grand Gifts, with a minimum gift of $1,000. The other innovation of the '71 campaign Is the Newcomer Division. This division will introduce and explain local agencies and services to those women new to the community.
And so, gratefully we continue, with our efforts and our gifts, to help assure the survival of a Jewish nation and a Jewish community. It is truly a noble mission.
