sroe Omaha , . . Before leaving for a trip to Israel last week with other U n i t e d S t a t e s mayors, Eugene A. Leahy proclaimed the week of May 10 as Israel Independence Week for Omaha. He did so "in tribute to the valiant people who established the State of Israel and the many citizens of Omaha whose heritage rests in this renowned and ancient land". Mayor Leahy, Governor Nor. bert Tiemann, Governor Ray of Iowa and other civic leaders will be among the participants in the Israel Independence Day Celebration which will be under • the sponsorship of the Jewish Federation of Omaha at Memorial Park, Sunday, May 10 from 2 to 4 p.m. Three ministers who recently: returned from Israel on the Ministers Tour will also par-' ticlpatc in the afternoon's festivities.
