Jewish Federation, announced this week. The dinner meeting will be held Sunday, April 19, at 6:30 p.m., at the Highland Country Club. "Passover Is the time at which we rejoice in our freedom from the slavery of Egypt.
This Festival of Freedom underscores our responsibility to remember the Jews who are still enslaved in Russia. The spiritual strangulation and agony of Russian Jewry continues unabated," Mr. Gross said. Guest Speaker Dr. Yoram Dinstein, foremost authority on Soviet Russian Jewry, will address the Annual Meeting and will describe the status of 3,000,000 Jews in Russia. mission on Human Rights. Born in Tel Aviv in 1936, Dr. Dinstein received his law degrees at the Hebrew University and New York University. He has served as member of the law faculty at Hebrew University and as a lecturer in International Law. Dr. Dinstein has served in the Israel Ministry for Foreign Affairs, and as an alternate member of the U.N. Sub-Commission on Prevention of Discrimination and Protection of Minorities. He Is a prolific author of numerous legal books and articles.
