A renowned speaker of wideranging intellect, Mr. Cherrick will bring a firsthand report to tt.r Omaha audience of the conditions in Israel during the brief hut costly war days and tha m.iny problems still faced by Isl.ii'l and her people.

An intensified effort is being made this week to encourage ion per cent participation by the entire Jewish Community in a special Tribute to Israel which will be held Sunday, June 18, 1907 at R p.m. at the Beth Israel Synagogue, 52nd and Charles Streets. In announcing plans for the mass meeting, Harvey Fcrer, chairman of the Israel Emergency Committee, noted the sense of urgency felt by every Jew in the community during the 4 days Israel was engaged in open battle with her Arab neighbors. As the situation was not very good though, the Commanding Officer had had to refuse, but the proud father was present at his son's Bris all the same.—The morning after the request was made, the mother, baby and a few of the closest relations were taken to the army camp where the father was stationed and the Bris was held there. * * * During one of the sessions of the Knesset (Israel Parliament), it was noticed that many of the younger members were missing. We met one of them on the Negey Roads leading his battalion. When asked what he was doing there, as Members of Knesset are automatically freed from active duty, he said: "There is no written law anywhere forbidding M.K.'s to do active duty. I have been together with these men for five years. Here I am needed but back in the Knesset they will get along without me."

Jerusalem (JTA)—If there is a family of the year in Israel, it is probably Mr. and Mrs, Rahaniim of Haifa. Every ona of their ten children is now in military service during Israel's current crisis. The youngest child, an 18year-old girl, is now in regular inilitary service. Of her nins brothers, two are paratroopers, one is in the Air Force, one i$ a tank commander, one is a section commander of infantry, another is a regimental sergeant major, one is in the air defensa and two are in the infantry.
