So it was in Omaha :'.O years ago with the Women's Division and so it was in Omaha this year. And yet each campaign I'll- funds for the United Jewish Appeal and the Jewish Philanthropic'; ot Omaha has a tlavor all its own. fieeause we who headed the 10GG-H7 campaign hope our campaign was "a little special." we want to report on it to you local women (and men) who helped make it so. Your spirit, your enthusiasm.-your cooperation were the incentives we needed to urge us trj'do the best job we could. Yoilr experience and your know how wore the background upon which we built; your ideas and hopes were the ideas and hopes with which we worked to promote a campaign we believe was exciting, .stimulating, informative and fruitful. At the present moment, more Mian 1,10(1 pledge C a r d s from the Women's Division have been turned in FOR A TOTAI, OF sdlUl !.<;<; 01! AN INCI5F.ASF. OF III.H WAX CF.NT OVKK LAST YKAK'.S F.XCFLLF.N'T KF.COUD; How Is It Done? Kvcn the most'effective campaign chairmen cannot do a job alone. It takes speakers like Jim Farber, Bob Feinbcrg, Paul Veret, Maurice- f 'iilmore. Arthur Goldstein. It takes Women like Racky Newman, Midge Sol/man and Beck Wolf willing to open their charming homes to our meetings. It taken a devoted and dedicated staff at the Jewish Community Center, headed this year by Esther Graelz. who worked with tremendous dedication and enthusiasm. It takes editors like Mickey Gerelick to edit the copy and provide the space in the Jewish Press, It takes the cooperation and assistance of all the rabbis in our community who welcomed us into their houses of worship and who'aided us, through their efficient staffs, in presenting effective meetings; it takes the charm and talent of women willing to perform, write and play for a program in which songs tell the story of needs and accomplishments. It takes the understanding and generosity of a community of women who understand the needs ot their people. So far our campaign has been successful—-hut it's not over yet. Our goal is to complete the campaign of 1!)G7 with 1011 per cent participation. To those who have not yet signed their pledge cards for this year, we urge them-to do so. No gilt is too small to be accepted and appreciated. It is our hope that all who have not given previously will start this year to share in this campaign dedicated to give sustenance of food and spirit to our people wherever they may live. To all who have helped and will help to make this campaign a success, we say n heartfelt and grateful "Todah Rabah." Without you, your complete faith and dedication, the job could not be done. May you give to those who lead in the future the same support you have given to us.
