munity Center, the University Club is open to all post-high school young adults. There is no charge for membership or for the party on Sunday. University Club activities for the month of December will include a program "So This is College" and a homecoming party and dance at the Schimtm-l Inn.

Ronald Cohen; William Finkle, Richard Goldman, Earl Katz, Morton Mellen, Bernard Meyers, Nathan Novak, Sidney Osten, Don Polsky, Laurence Rubinstein, Morton Soircf, Marlon Somberg and Yale Trustin. 'Film firsts' Starts Sunday at J.C.C. The Jar/. Singer, starring Al Jolson.-will be shown this Sunday, November 2!!, at K p.m. at the Jewish Community Center, The first in a series of 'Film Firsts', the Jazz Singer marked the end of the silent era and the beginning of talkies. Jolson portrays the lower e.'ist side boy who becomes an entertainer against his father's wishes, An introductory discussion of the film and significant facts about movie;; in general will precede the film showing. Mel Linsman is coordinator of the series which-will include one film each month. "I am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang' will be s h o w n in December; "'12nd Street" in January; "The P u b l i c Enemy" in February; "Frankenstein" in March and "A Night at the Opera" in April. All films in the series will be .shown at the Jewish Community Center. Admission to each film in $1.

Myra Goldman A captain in Ihe drive last year, Mrs. Goldman has been a Philanthropies worker for the past 10 years. She is currently serving on the boards of the Omaha Chapter of Hadassah and" Temple Israel Sisterhood, and is Ways and Means Chairman for the Omaha Symphony Holiday Ball. A certified Junior Great Books Leader. Mrs. Goldman teaches a fifth and sixth grade Great Books course at Oakdale school. She is also a part-time student at Omaha University, working toward a degree in Speech Therapy. Because of her particular interest and ability in music and the stage, Mrs. Goldman has appeared in a number of local productions. She had the lead role in the first Traveling Theater Group of the National Council of Jewish Women, and played the part of the fiddler in Hadassah's production of e x c e r p t s from "Fiddler on the Roof" last spring. S p o n s o r e d by the Omaha Chapter of Hadassah, this is the first time the exhibit is appearing in communities west of the Mississippi. All items in the show will be for sale, and the entire community is invited to attend. Mmes. Mrs. Novak's sister, Mrs. Marlon Somberg, was co-chairman of the 19(J"1 Young Women's division. Mrs. Novak has worked in various capacities in Philanthropies campaigns for the past 10 years. She has served 33 Membership co-chairman, Recording Secretary and is currently Religious School co-chairman.
