Tel Aviv—The world premiere of Leonard Bernstein's 'Kaddish' was given here on Tuesday, Dec. 10. before a large audience. Mr. Bernstein dedicated his latest work to the late President, John F. Kennedy. He was a close personal friend of the Kennedy , family. On November 22, the day of the assassination. Mr. Bernstein was finishing the last movement of the 'Kaddish' when an aide informed him of the death of the president. At that point he wrote the dedication "To the beloved m c r a o r y of John F. Kennedy." Mr. Bernstein said, "The irony of fate—that fate should dictate the dedication just when I was completing the "Amen" portion of the symphony. The new symphony. Mr. Bernstein's third, was warmly received.
