Cedarbaum, well known Jewish educator and Director of Religious Education for the Chicago Federation, will be the guest lecturer at a cityWide Jewish Education Seminar to be held Sunday, May 19, at the Jewish Community Center, it was jointly anonunced by Dr. Moris Margolin, Chairman of the Bureau of Jewish Education and Yale Gotsdiner, Chairman of the Committee on Teacher Education. The Seminar will be in session from 10 a, m. to 4 p. m. Open To Community The Seminar, although held for professional teachers of Jewish education, is open to the entire community. The program topics are "Teaching the BibleSome New Approaches; How to Get the Most out of a Textbook or a Filmstrip; and Educating the New .Generation—In the Light of Recent Developments." Edward A. Rosen, regional conference chairman, said Mr. Klutznick, a past international president of B'nai B'rith, will present a fifty-year award to Dr. Greenberg in tribute to.his lifetime contribution of leadership and talent to all Jewish and communal causes as well as his service to the. organization. Program and Reception The program featuring Mr. Klutznick and Dr. Greenberg will be held at 8:30 p.m. at the Highland Country Club and will be followed by a reception in their honor at 10 p.m. according to Dr. Leon Fellman, Regional President. The Regional Council will conduct its annual meeting and election on Sunday, May 20 at 9 a.m. at the Highland Club.

Academy Conducts Achievement Tests The Omaha Hebrew Academy's first grade scored an average grade equivalent of 2.8 in the recent Metropolitan Achievement Tests. The children, now in their eighth month of first grade, performed at a level equal to that of the national average of the eighth month o' second grade. The same tests are administered throughout the country to thousands of children. The Academy, now completing its second year as the community's Hebrew Day School, will expand its bicultural program in September from kindergarten through third grade.
