Today's estimates are 35,000. For more than a decade they were locked behind the Iron Curtain and We could not get to them. Last fall the Iron Curtain was drawn open ever no little and it began to be possible for Polish Jewj to escape. A chartered ship, flying the British flag, made three trips in April, carrying a full load each time u> France, from where the Jewish escapees were shipped to Israel.
