New Colony Built By Refugee Girh New York (JTA) — Refugee girls are creating a new pioneer colony in Palestine's Beisan Valley near Tirat Zvi, Mrs. Bessie Gotsfeld, Palestine Representative of the Mizrctclii Women's Organization of America, reports. Two groups of girl graduates of the Jerusalem school maintained by the Mizrachi Women, the Beth Zeiroth Mizrachi, are taking up immediate settlement t o g e t her with a group of boys who have been graduated from the Mikveb Israel Agricultural School. Form Group to Aid Polish Jews New York (JTA) — Formation of the Committee for Polish Affairs, to represent the interests of Polish Jews in the United States, cooperate with the United Jewish Appeal and seek restoration of the Polish Jews' rights, was announced this week. The committee was formed at a conference at the H o t e l Astor,1 called on the Initiative of Jakob Apenszlak, Dr. Leib Wulman and Dr. Arjeh Tartakower, comprising the Polish Jewish delegation in the United States. Other speakers at the meeting included Abraham Goldberg, Dr. Nahum Goldmann, Jacob Lestschinsky, Louis Segal, Zellg Tygel, Dr. David L v o v itch, and Dr. Henryk Szoszkes. The committee is non-partisan and will seek to coordinate the activities of various organizations concerned with Polish Jewish affairs.

It is the army of the refugees, human wreckage in the path of the war that has swept Jewish life into the sea of suffering. The job before us is staggering. We will have to bring to our fellow Jews the compelling necessity. of extending all possible help in this greatest catastrophe and 'greatest emergency our people ever faced.
