Trustee On An Altar
- On a Sabbath morning recently Mr. Segal sat oil the altar of the temple of which he is one of the trustees. His function "was lo help the rabbi with the Scroll of the Law, to say the blessing, etc. ' He had been drafted for this service. It has come to r sad pass in reform temples -where few men go to Sabbath morning services; BO that in on- temple there -were no men to sit with the rabbi to help him not even trustees. Therelore, i t had become necessary to draft the trustees . . . "Y o TI, Trustee Segal, go to the service and sit -with the rabbi the coming Saturday and you. Trustee Spiegel, will do likewise on the Saturday after that" . . . and so on.
