Welookbackon2025withdeepgratitudeforallthatourcommunityhasmadepossible.AttheheartofJewishLongBeachisaclearmission tostrengthenJewishlife,fostermeaningfulrelationships,andcreateaplacewhereeverypersonknowstheybelong.Thispastyear reaffirmedthatmissionthroughthecare,commitment,andgenerosityofourcommunity.
Throughouttheyear,yourparticipationandpresencebroughtthatmissiontolife.FamiliesfeltknownthroughtheEarlyChildhoodEducation program.Teensfoundfriendshipandconfidenceatcamp.Adultsgatheredinconnectionthroughpickleball,learning,andseniorlunch.These momentsmayseemsimple,buttogethertheyformthefoundationofavibrantandresilientJewishcommunity.
Wearegratefulforayearmarkedbyimportantmilestones.WewelcomedanewChiefExecutiveOfficerduringatimeoftransitionand renewal,strengtheningleadershipandsharedvisionforthefuture.WeproudlyreopenedtheMaryAlpertPoolaftera$1.7millionrenovation, restoringavitalspaceforwellness,learning,andgathering.CampKomaroffexperiencedincreasedparticipation,welcomingapproximately 150childreneachweekthroughoutthesummer,supportedbycampershipsthathelpedensureaccessforfamiliesacrossourcommunity.
Ourongoingprogramscontinuedtoanchorbelonging.TheJessieButlerSeniorLunchProgramremainedacherishedpointofconnection, offeringnourishment,conversation,andcompanionship.ThroughPJLibrary,morethan3,600booksweredeliveredtochildrenandfamilies, sparkingJewishconversationsathomeandcelebratingJewishlifethroughsharedstories.TogetherwithourFoundation'sworkandthe AnnualCommunityCampaign,theseeffortsensurethatJewishLongBeachremainsatrustedandwelcomingcenterforJewishlifenowandin the
