JFSDallasisuniquebecauseourfullrangeofservicesisavailabletothoseweserveunder oneroof.Thisispartofourwhole-personcareapproach,whichrecognizesthatallareasof oneʼslifeareinterconnected.

Lastyear,ourclientJohn*sufferedakneeinjury thatwascomplicatedbyhisdiabetes,causing severepainandforcinghimtomisswork frequently.Thesituationescalatedtothepoint whereheendedupintheER,andthetreatment heneededwasbeyondhisfinancialreach.
WhenJohnturnedtoJFSDallasforhelp,we connectedhimwithourJFSNorthpointHealth Center,wherehereceivedthenecessary treatmentatanaffordableprice.Ashisknee begantoheal,Johnreceivedjobskillstraining throughourCareerandFinancialServices Departmenttohelphimfindanewjobthatwould beeasieronhisjoints,reducingtheriskoffuture injury.HealsovisitedtheJFSFoodPantry,where henowhasaccesstogroceriesanddiabeticfriendlyrecipes—essentialtoolstohelphim managehishealthandensurehehasfoodonthe tableashestartshisnewjob.
The Clients We Serve
Lastyear,JFSDallasprovidedservicestoover22,000individuals,rangingfromages 0-105+yearsold.Approximately80%oftheclientswhocometoJFSDallasfor assistancearelowtomoderateincome.Theseindividualscomefromawiderangeof religions,ethnicities,andculturalbackgrounds.Manyfacechallengessuchasfood insecurity,domesticviolence,andmentalhealthstruggles,requiringimmediateand long-termsupport.Ourclientsincludeadults,children,families,andseniors,allseeking stabilityandapathtowardself-sufficiency.

Groupsofupto10volunteers(ages15+)hostagamenight atthePLANClubhouse,asupportivecommunityspacefor individualslivingwithsevereandpersistentmentalillness. Volunteersmaybringtheirowngamesorusethose provided,helpteachgames,andspendtimeconnecting withmembersthroughsharedplay.Gamenightstakeplace onweekdayevenings.
