SUPPORTING ISRAEL & OVERSEAS Yashar LaChayal Rami was one of the 1,500 Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers personally impacted by the Yashar LaChayal program, supported by the Jewish Federation of Broward County. Its name, Hebrew for "straight to the soldier," reflects the fact that any donation made will go towards the needs of Israeli soldiers without a percentage going towards the organization's overhead costs. Rami came to the Federation-funded Needy Soldier Project while serving in the IDF without support or assistance from his family. The program supported him throughout Passover by providing Kosher for Pesach food packages so Rami could honor and celebrate the holiday in comfort and dignity, without compromising his Jewish values and identity.

Ofek Liyladenu The Musical Dreams program at Ofek Liyladenu provides music lessons to blind and visually impaired Israeli children. In May 2019, through its support, Guy, Dena, and Ana'el, all of whom have serious vision challenges, performed in the internationally renowned Eurovision competition as part of the Shalva Band. They are now compelling spokespersons for the inclusion of people with disabilities in the art world, and continue to inspire others through their music and public appearances.

CARING FOR THE ELDERLY Nourish Now - Meals on Wheels George survived the Holocaust, cancer, a liver transplant, and several surgeries, that sapped his strength and left him tired and frail. Yet he stands among us today, a valued member of our Broward Jewish community. George holds onto his dignity, but shopping for food takes more strength than he is able to muster. His fingers, once vibrant from a career as a renowned concert pianist, no longer have the strength to prepare his own meals. Yet an 1,100 person waiting list for federally subsidized, home delivered meals faced him when he approached Meals on Wheels of South Florida. The Federation funded Nourish Now program stepped in paying for Kosher meals to be delivered to him while he waits on that list. George's survival, as well as that of his fellow seniors, is ensured by the generosity of our donors.

Daniel D. Cantor Senior Center It is painful for a child to witness the mental decline of a parent who is slowly robbed of their personality due to Alzheimer’s. The daughter of Florence, a senior enrolled in the Alzheimer’s program at the Daniel D. Cantor Senior Center, recalls the trauma of watching her once joyful and energetic mother become a depressed senior before her eyes. Florence went from a woman known for her love of singing and dancing, an engaging personality who worked as a drama teacher, to a withdrawn shell of herself. She lacked the desire to rise from her bed each day. When she did, her pacing became such a distraction that her daughter could barely work from her home office. Florence’s neurologist recommended the Federation supported Alzheimer's program at the Cantor Center. Though she was originally hesitant to participate, Florence has now found purpose and friendship at the Cantor Center. She looks forward to seeing her dear friends each day and they are inseparable when together. Her daughter is grateful for the program and given renewed hope knowing that her mother is safe, content and dancing to the music once again. “I am relieved and happy to know that my mother is safe and content in the Alzheimer’s program at the Cantor Center.” - Molly, daughter of Florence

serving those MOST AT risk Goodman Jewish Family Services Every day, impoverished members of our community make heart wrenching decisions. Mandy, in fragile health, and living in a tiny, threadbare apartment, found herself forced to choose between paying for the insulin she needed to live, or paying her electric bill. The problem was, without electricity, she would have no refrigerator to keep her insulin in. That's when Goodman Jewish Family Services Community and Senior Services program, stepped in. Using donations from the Jewish Federation of Broward County, the program paid Mandy's past due electric bill, making it possible for her to have electricity, refrigeration, and the insulin that keeps her alive. Through the generosity of our donors, Goodman Jewish Family Services Community and Senior Services Program was able to step forward to pay Mandy’s electric bill.

WECARE Food Pantry, The Dorit & Ben J. Genet Cupboard & Community and Seniors Services Living in your car is extraordinarily difficult. There's no running water to bathe in or drink; no bed to lie down in; no way to cook or keep food cold, no temperature control, and no privacy. Yet for years, without options, Gloria survived. Then doctors told the senior they could not do the surgery she needed if she had nowhere better to recover. WECARE Food Pantry at the Soref JCC and the Dorit & Ben J. Genet Cupboard (both of whom had been providing her with food) knew they had to do something. Partnering with the Community and Senior Services Program at Goodman Jewish Family Services, and using funds raised by Jewish Federation of Broward County, Gloria was moved into temporary housing enabling her to undergo her desperately needed surgery. Now our goal is to secure permanent housing for her, through your continued support.

Strengthening jewish identity locally A Wider Bridge South Florida From the moment Tori landed in Israel through the LGBTQ+ Mission with A Wider Bridge, her re-education began. While she had been confident in her knowledge and awareness of Israel, its standing and cultural identity, it was through the opportunity to interact with community leaders while on her mission that she realized she was experiencing more than a vacation. She recognized that her ancestral homeland was more diverse and complex than most Americans know. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community who fights to advocate their voice and rights, this was a stark realization. The mission brought forward millions of diverse voices who comprise the people of Israel. The Jewish LGBTQ+ community is facing a great challenge as many LGBTQ+ advocates also link LGBTQ+ rights to anti Israel positions. A Wider Bridge missions to Israel combat this linkage and strengthen Jewish members of the community in their pro-Israel advocacy. Tori developed a deep connection with Israel on the Mission and returned to the United States as a stronger, more committed advocate.

One Happy Camper If not for camp scholarships provided by the Jewish Federation of Broward County, children like Sam would not have the opportunity to attend summer camp. Siblings of children with special needs, can sometimes feel their own needs are overlooked as their parents, understandably, deal with the greater needs of their brother or sister. Yet this is the only childhood they will have. embracing those with special needs Friendship Circle Susan came to Friendship Circle at age seven. A beautiful young girl from a local Jewish family, she had low functioning autism and was unable to speak or communicate her feelings or thoughts to her family and friends. This was extremely frustrating for both Susan and all who knew her. Over the years, advanced technologies have been developed to help someone like Susan communicate with family, friends, and classmates. Her family, however, already struggling with the high costs of raising a child with special needs, found the cost of purchasing the equipment beyond their reach. Recently, the Friendship Circle decided to raise money to purchase, “SpeakMod,” a special tablet with evidence-based speech and language therapy applications for individuals with severe autism or developmental disabilities. From the moment Susan started using it, her life changed. She was finally able to express herself in a new and real way! Recently, she posted on Facebook – “I want to make sure that every non-verbal child with autism will have a voice like I do.” With Federation's support of Friendship Circle, Susan and her family are able to feel included and find the support they need.

South Florida Jewish Academy Parents of Jewish children with special needs revere the South Florida Jewish Academy for its dramatic success in teaching children with a warm and welcoming environment. It is the only Jewish day school specifically built for children with disabilities in Broward. Yet one young man, who could have benefited greatly, could not attend due to his cerebral palsy related mobility limitations, as the building lacked a functioning elevator. Financial support from Jewish Federation of Broward County turned the situation around by helping to finance a new elevator at the school. The institution now fully welcomes children with a wide range of disabilities.

SUPPLEMENTAL SUPPORT Community impact Grants, Special Purpose Funds, Foundation Funds and Supplemental Fund Disbursements (projected) - $2,878,113 Jewish Federation of Broward County is about sustainability and purpose. Several named endowment funds make disbursements to beneficiary agencies and programs in support of communal initiatives such as immersive Israel experiences, aging and special need services, emergency security and capital grants. The Jewish Community Foundation works with donors to be their center for philanthropy. Fund holders make recommendations to a host of charitable organizations - Jewish and secular, local and global. Program Services (projected) - $4,153,471 We strengthen and enable community, through, engagement programs, direct service programs such as Chai Care, by paying the mortgage on our property which houses the Posnack JCC and the Posnack Jewish Day School as well as the Federation, and by covering the planning and operating expenses critical to our community. Federation Management and Fundraising Services (projected) - $2,320,897 We provide the planning necessary to ensure critical future needs will be met, expertise and oversight in the allocations process, leadership development programming, community security, property oversight, and accounting and grant submission assistance. Fundraising services are all aspects of the Federation operations that go into raising funds.
CRISIS PREPARATION Jewish Federation of Broward County takes an important leadership role in helping our Jewish community prepare for, respond to, and recover from crises. Our Security Director is available to all Broward Jewish agencies to assist in evaluating and addressing security risks. Additionally, Federation hosts an annual security conference for community agencies to gain relevant security updates and education on important procedures. We host workshops and provide technical assistance for Jewish schools, agencies, and synagogues wishing to apply for Homeland Security Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) funding to address the risks, and have been successful at bringing hundreds of thousands of dollars into our community to improve security. We provide training and assistance to agencies preparing for hurricanes and their potential economic consequences. Over the past two years, we have worked with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to secure reimbursements for costs incurred by our agencies as a result of Hurricane Irma. 14
EMERGENCY VOLUNTEERS PROJECT FOR ISRAEL (EVP) Jewish Federation of Broward County, in partnership with EVP, developed an emergency deployment team to volunteer in Israel whenever a crisis may arise. Annually, we train 150 responders, who at anytime, can be deployed to Israel as emergency situations develop. In the summer of 2018, Plantation and Hollywood firefighters, Aston Bright and Darren Muñoz, deployed to Israel. They were members of a 10-person contingent of U.S. firefighters deployed to fight ongoing blazes sparked by incendiary balloons and kites from the Gaza Strip. Thanks to their efforts, over 1,000 fires consuming nature reserves, fields and orchids were extinguished in Israel’s southern region.
LONG TERM RECOVERY COALITION/BROWARD CARES In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, Federation teamed up with the Community Foundation of Broward and United Way of Broward County to form Broward Cares, a collaborative disaster recovery coalition. Broward Cares helped power the Long-Term Recovery Coalition of Broward, which delivered mold remediation, roof repair and other support for families most impacted by the storm.
ADVOCACY Our Government Affairs Committee is on the front lines fighting for issues impacting Jews in Broward, Israel and around the world. During the 2019 Florida Legislative session, local Jewish communal agencies received continued state funding thanks to the efforts of Senate and House members from Broward. In addition, the Federation successfully advocated for legislation defining anti-Semitism and mandating that discrimination against Jewish people be treated the same as acts of racial discrimination in Florida’s public education institutions.
Critical Support for Holocaust Survivors In April 2019, the Federation established a council of community leaders to consider the unmet needs of Holocaust Survivors in Broward County, and undertook efforts to meet the needs. Notwithstanding Claims Conference funding, the leadership council found serious unmet needs, particularly relating to housing, but also in medical, food, transportation, and socialization needs. In response, with funding from the Jewish Federations of North America and our donors, funds are being provided to prevent survivors from losing their homes or living in unsafe conditions, to pay for hearing aids, dentures, dental work, and to cover other critical needs. SUPPLEMENTAL SUPPORT YETTA SHER Solutions Grants: In 2019, Jewish Federation of Broward County launched the Yetta Sher Solutions Award and Micro Grants initiative to seek innovative projects that address community challenges and create greater opportunities. A $500,000 Solutions Award was provided to Jewish Adoption and Family Care Options (JAFCO) to launch Catering with a Heart, a program that will provide crucial employment training for teens and young adults with developmental disabilities who are interested in working in catering and related fields. Nationwide, the employment rate for those with disabilities is less than half that of those without disabilities. Six additional programs received Yetta Sher Micro Grants of $10,000 each, including: • VeHadarta for keeping and re-integrating older adults into the workforce. • Jewish Educational Loan Fund to provide interest free student loans. • Gilda’s Club for its Gilda on the Go program, which supports Jewish cancer patients and families at the David Posnack JCC. • Institute of Jewish Knowledge and Learning for intergenerational grandparent-grandchild Jewish programs and activities. • Holocaust Learning and Education Fund for its Holocaust Reflection Contest for middle and high school students in Florida. • Temple Dor Dorim in Weston for its Shalom Belly/Shalom Family Jewish lifecycle events.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Federation is committed to partnering with the broader community and serving as a convener during times of crisis. In May, the Federation launched “From Sinai to Selma,” an ongoing initiative aimed at building bridges between the Jewish and African American communities. A screening of “From Swastika to Jim Crow,” about German professors who after fleeing Nazi Germany, found work at historically black colleges and universities in the largely segregated south, along with a panel discussion that followed, was enthusiastically received by 200 community members at NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale. In addition, after the Tree of Life Synagogue tragedy in Pittsburgh, Federation responded by organizing a communitywide vigil attracting 700 community members from across Broward County, by hosting forums bringing politicians and the community together, and by offering volunteer opportunities - preparing Mishloach Manot - to community members seeking ways to show support for survivors.
ISRAEL TRAMUA COALITION/MSD RECOVERY: Upon the one-year anniversary of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas tragedy, the Federation brought back the Israel Trauma Coalition (ITC) to support the North Broward community. Twenty of the leading trauma clinicians in Broward were trained in the ITC model and as part of a three-day train the trainer cohort. ITC leaders also delivered the keynote address at the 5th Annual Broward Behavioral Health Conference and worked with parents, caregivers, teachers and policymakers from across our community.

Community & Seniors Assistance | Goodman JFS - $460,000: Case management, advocacy, information and referral, and emergency financial assistance for Broward Jewish community members in crisis. Help for those forced to choose between eating, buying their medicine or paying rent. Crisis Support for the Jewish Community in South America | American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) $35,000: Crisis support for vulnerable Jewish community members living in South America. Critical Support for Holocaust Survivors | Federation & Goodman Jewish Family Services - $300,000: Assists with homelessness prevention, critical repairs, hearing aids, dentures for Holocaust survivors in dire need. Supports a leadership council that seeks ongoing solutions to challenges facing the survivor population. Dental care for needy IDF soldiers, vets, and their families | Dental Volunteers for Israel - $16,000: Volunteer dentists from 20 countries provide free state-of-the-art dental care for Jerusalem’s neediest families and families of IDF soldiers. Dentures for Holocaust survivors and needy elderly | Dental Volunteers for Israel - $25,000: Free dentures for Holocaust survivors and other needy elderly adults in Jerusalem and surrounding areas. Domestic Abuse Program | Goodman Jewish Family Services - $5,000: Assistance for Jewish survivors of domestic abuse (counseling, access to resources, financial assistance, and counseling) and teen workshops to help prevent future generations from experiencing abuse. Early Childhood & Camp Scholarships | Temple Beth Emet - $10,000: Scholarship assistance for young children to attend child care or camp at Temple Beth Emet. Support is shown to foster connections between young Jewish families and the synagogue. Elevator | South Florida Jewish Academy - $23,000: Elevator replacement to ensure that children with mobility limitations can be served. Employment on the Horizon - Vocational Training Program for Youngsters with Blindness and Visual Impairment | Ofek Liyladenu – Israel National Association of Parents of Children with Visual Impairments - $16,500: Vocational training and summer work experiences in Israel for blind and visually impaired teens, ages 14-16, preparing them for future employment. Emtza | NCSY - $25,000: Immersive experiences to Jewish middle school students to strengthen connections with Judaism and Israel. Equal In Uniform | Akim - $10,000: Allows Israeli young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to serve in the IDF within the limits of their abilities, in positions tailored to their unique needs. This builds self-esteem and a sense of belonging, and is often a first step to future employment. Ethiopian-Israeli Scholarship Program - $30,000: Full three-year college tuition for needy Ethiopian college students following the completion of IDF service, at IDC (Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya). 12 talented Ethiopian students are currently benefiting, setting an example for those to follow. Friendship Circle | Friendship Circles of South Broward, and of North Broward & South Palm Beach Counties - $25,000: Pairs teen volunteers with special needs children, which allows for opportunities to play and socialize, provides parents with respite care, and brings participants together for family programs and special events. Giborim U | David Posnack JCC - $30,000: Year round programming for children, teens and adults with special needs, including fitness, arts, sports, recreation, life skills classes, and health and wellness. Hot Meals for Holocaust Survivors and Vulnerable Seniors | Leket Israel - $25,000: Over 900 vulnerable seniors in seven cities (Be’er Sheva, Lod, Jerusalem, Rehovot, Ramle, Rishon Lezion, and Tel Aviv) receive daily hot meals. IDF Friendship Center | Diaspora Yeshiva Toras Yisrael - $10,500: Provides soldiers at Diaspora Yeshiva-Mt. Zion with basic necessities, educational services and behavioral health care. Indigent Burial - $15,504: Ensures that all Jews in Broward County, without means, can receive a Jewish burial. Integrated Care |American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) - $30,000: Supports vulnerable older Israelis living at home who are unable to navigate resources available through health and welfare systems. Israel Awareness Month in Broward County | Hillel of Broward & Palm Beach - $5,000: Supports Israeli Awareness Month on local college campuses, including educational, cultural, Shabbat and Israel advocacy programs. Israel Engagement Coordinator | Hillel of Broward & Palm Beach - $20,000: Funds an Israel Engagement Coordinator to recruit and provide critical follow-up for Birthright participants, maximizing the long-term impact of the program in our community. Israel Experience - Need Based Scholarships for Teens | Jewish Federation of Broward County - $65,000: Need based scholarships for Jewish Broward County high school students to participate in three-eight week educational programs in Israel. Jewish Day School Support – $230,000: Scholarships and programming at accredited Jewish day schools in Broward County, including Beth Emet Elementary School, Brauser Maimonides Academy, David Posnack Jewish Day School, Hebrew Academy Community School, and The Jewish Academy. Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) - $579,742: Overseas support for critical programs in Israel and in more than 75 countries through overseas partners, which include American-Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) and World ORT. Jewish Student Union | NCSY - $25,000: Jewish cultural clubs located in public and private high schools designed to strengthen Jewish identity, connections to Israel and our local Jewish community. Joshua’s Path | Goodman Jewish Family Services - $25,000: Information and referral services, workshops, case management for families and caregivers of adults (18+ years of age) with disabilities. Funding supports the Broward County Jewish Abilities Alliance web-based resource guide. Ma’aleh Adumim Senior Citizens and Holocaust Survivors Program | Bnai Zion Foundation - $42,500: Allows seniors to attend classes, participate in arts and crafts, and receive language instruction (English, French, Spanish, Russian and Amharic). Special programs and assistance is provided for those with physical and psychological disabilities. Maccabi Tzair | David Posnack JCC - $22,000: Serves Broward’s Latin youth ages five-18. Programming emphasizes Jewish identity, Zionism and leadership skills, through educational and recreational activities, field trips, Jewish holiday celebrations, and Spanish language family programming.

March of the Living | Jewish Federation of Broward County - $57,200: Scholarships enable Broward Jewish teens to participate in the International March of the Living, an annual educational program bringing teens and adults from around the world to Poland and Israel to study the history of the Holocaust and to examine the roots of prejudice, intolerance and hatred. Meals for Residential Center | JAFCO Jewish Children’s Village - $45,000: Funding provides Kosher meals for children ages 6-21 years old, who reside in JAFCO group homes, having been removed from their families due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. Mofet Club for Holocaust Survivors - Nesher Association for the Elderly - $17,038: Funding to upgrade and replace chairs, tables, sofas, kitchen utensils, and air conditioning facilities at Mofet Club for Holocaust Survivors in Nesher, our Partnership2gether City. Moishe House | Jewish Federation of Broward County - $13,750: Unique engagement tool for Jewish young adults. Up to five carefully chosen, vibrant, Jewishly-involved individuals live in our local Moishe House (as part of a network of 100+ Moishe Houses around the world) and host events and activities (including Shabbat dinners, holiday celebrations, social action projects and group learning sessions) that bring together and connect Jewish young adults. Musical Dreams for Blind and Visually Impaired Children | Ofek Liyladenu – Israel National Association of Parents of Children with Visual Impairments - $15,000: Weekly music lessons for blind children ages 6-18 years old) in Israel that enhance their sensory, emotional and social development; plus workshops for music teachers to help them learn the best methods for instructing blind children. Needy Soldiers Supply Closet | Yashar Lachayal - $21,000: Assists impoverished families of Israeli soldiers by providing food packages, supermarket credit, electric appliances and basic necessities. Nesher Partnership | Partnership2Gether (Jewish Agency for Israel) – $92,000: Fosters a living bridge from Nesher, Israel to Broward County through exchange volunteering programs, Nesher teen delegations, school twinning and more. Netivim Parent-Children Center | Nesher Municipality - $18,000: Supports at-risk Israeli children and families with therapeutic programming to ensure healthy behaviors. Nourish Now | Meals on Wheels of South Florida - $85,000: Our funds pay to have meals delivered to frail, homebound, at-risk Jewish seniors in Broward County while they are on the Meals on Wheels waiting list (currently 1,100 seniors long), so that they begin to receive meals immediately. Nutritional Security | Be’er Sova - $10,000: Provides food, nutritional and educational programming to at-risk residents in Be’er Sova. One Happy Camper | Jewish Federation of Broward County - $94,750: Provides incentive grants and scholarships of $1,000 for a first time Jewish camper along with additional need based assistance for families who want to send their children to Jewish camp. Orloff Department of Jewish Education & Engagement | Jewish Federation of Broward County - $50,000: In-house professional development for Jewish educators helps strengthen the quality of Jewish Education in Broward County and allows Jewish educators to participate in outside professional development opportunities. Outreach to Unengaged Families | Synagogue Partnership - $25,000: Congregations bring individuals and families, that are not currently engaged in local Jewish life, together for programs, leading to greater involvement and engagement in the Jewish community. Peer Engagement | Hillel International - $30,000: Supports programming to strengthen Jewish identity on Florida campuses and ensures that students can engage in a vibrant Jewish community.

Running Out of Time | Ma’ale Adumim Foundation - $25,000: Enables Holocaust survivors from Ma’ale Adumim to live out their lives with dignity and self-sufficiency. Self-Advocacy for Retirees and Seniors with Disabilities | Israel Elwyn - $30,000: Enables retirees with intellectual disabilities to empower themselves in this new stage of life and promote enhanced decision making skills. Senior Center | Daniel D. Cantor Senior Center - $86,849: More than 450 seniors participate in activities and programming that includes Jewish holiday celebrations, lectures, daily exercise classes, card games, discussion groups, current event updates, movies and entertainment, along with a Kosher meal. Shishi | Israel American Council - $5,000: Brings together Israeli and American families for Shabbat dinners, combining Jewish traditions and Israeli culture in an effort to build a united Jewish community. South Florida Jewish Academy - $37,500: State-of-the-art school provides a Jewish education for children with special needs in grades K–12. Funding provides needbased scholarships. Student Awareness Day | Holocaust Documentation & Education Center - $20,000: Student Awareness Day brings 1,200 Broward County students together to learn from Holocaust survivors, liberators and other speakers to learn about the horrors of the Holocaust and its relevance to their everyday lives. Sulamot | Neve Michael Children’s Village - $15,000: Targets 50 children at risk in elementary school and 20 children at risk in high school who reside in Neve Michael Children’s Village in Pardes Hana, Israel with music and art. Summer Camp in Ukraine | Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) - $16,500: Summer Camp in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, promotes Jewish literacy through exploration of Jewish traditions and history, teaches about historical and contemporary Israel, Hebrew, Jewish identity and community to Jewish youth in the Ukraine. Sunshine Circle Senior Collaborative (Friendship Circle) | Chabad Pembroke Pines - $9,000: Supports Jewish seniors at Century Village Pembroke Pines with a range of social services designed to reduce isolation and ensure social and emotional support. Supported Employment for Women with Disabilities | Seeach Sod - $20,000: Provides vocational training and on-the-job support for 40 women with mild-moderate intellectual disabilities to ensure longterm, successful employment, and financial independence. Support for Holocaust Survivors | Foundation for the Benefit of Holocaust Victims in Israel - $20,000: Provides access to medical services and personal safety in emergency situations to 400 needy Holocaust survivors in Israel with a special emphasis on vision related issues. Ten Kavod | United Hatzalah - $30,000: State of the art medical home care focused on Holocaust survivors living in the Nesher region.

Genet Cupboard | Goodman Jewish Family Services - $5,000: Funding supports a Kosher food pantry van, allowing food to be picked up, and to be delivered to needy members of the Broward Jewish community who lack the means or ability to get to the food bank. The Living Room Program | Daniel D. Cantor Senior Center - $20,000: Program for seniors who, due to diminishing abilities, are no longer able to thrive in a general senior center, but are not yet ready for adult day care services. Programs include songs, games, Jewish holiday celebrations, Kosher food and companionship. Volunteer Opportunities for Seniors | Yadid LaChinuch - $25,000: Provides seniors with opportunities for volunteering and social engagement. Warm a Soldier’s Heart | Nesher Municipality - $11,030: Provides Nesher teens with backpacks filled with items they can use during their IDF service upon high school graduation. We Are One Food Pantry | We Are One - $4,500: Allows a Glatt Kosher food pantry to ensure that Orthodox community members are able to access Cholov Yisroel, Pas Yisroel, and Beit Yosef food. WECARE Food Pantry - $45,000: Provides non-perishable groceries, fruits and vegetables, along with free medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers and canes to local families and individuals in desperate need. Working with Sexually Abused Soldiers | ELI: Israel Association for Child Protection in partnership with the IDF $25,000: ELI provides high quality therapy to IDF soldiers who have been sexually abused at any point of their life. ELI additionally prepares and accompanies victims through the criminal process. Youth At-Risk | Nesher Municipality - $20,000: This program pairs Technion and Haifa University students with at-risk teens in Nesher, for mentorship, assistance with schoolwork and guidance and support that encourages the teens to remain in school through graduation and join the IDF.
