(YLD) HORIZONS LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM & YOUNG LEADERSHIP DIVISION The Horizons Leadership Program is a 10-class program focusing on team building, leadership training, and problem-solving, and teaches participants

ages 22–40 about the role of the Jewish Federation and its leaders in the community, as well as the challenges facing Jewish communities locally and abroad. Upon graduating, participants can advance to be part of the YLD Board and other committees of the Federation. Meanwhile, the Young Leadership Division (YLD) offers a variety of social, educational, and mitzvah activities organized each month. IMPACT TEAMS Impact Teams are one of the most meaningful ways to contribute your leadership and expertise to make a positive impact on our community. Each impact team has a specific funding area for which they are responsible. Each team meets during the year to evaluate current grants and funding, research future needs, submit requests for proposals to agencies and organizations based on the impact team’s goals, and determine which programs are funded and at what level. The Jewish Federation of Broward County mobilizes the Jewish Community to provide leadership and financial resources that strengthen and enhance Jewish life in Broward, Israel, and around the world. By combining revenue streams from the 2024 Annual Campaign, Designated Funds, and the Jewish Community Foundation’s Unrestricted Funds, Restricted Special Purpose Funds, Annual Campaign Endowment (ACE), Lion of Judah Endowment (LOJE), and Philanthropic Funds, over $15 million will be invested this year to help people in our community and worldwide.
