My father always mentioned a true incident in his messages about a man who was selling law books travelling all over the United States. When he went to a particular city, he tried his best to sell the books but he couldn’t. He was staying in a hotel and the hotel bills were mounting. Debts accrued and fear engulfed him. As he looked at the city from his hotel room which was several floors high he felt, ‘I have no other choice but to jump out from the hotel window and kill myself’. As he was about to do so, his eyes fell upon the “Holy Bible” placed by the Gideon’s International in his room. Something drew him towards this book. He went to it, took it and opened it. His eyes fell upon Matthew 6:33 which says,
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
At that moment, these words which he read for the first time, pierced through his spirit and filled him. He realized, “I have not sought God’s help at all.” Immediately he cried, “O Lord, I commend my life into Your hand”. Great peace came upon his heart at once. He slept like a baby that night on his hotel bed. He got up the next day. He had no fear in his heart, but was filled with great joy. He felt an empowering Spirit, emboldening him to go back and sell the books once again. He went out having an open door wherever he went as led by the Spirit of God and sold the entire lot of books which he had. With all his debts removed, he was back in business.
My friend, this is what the Word of God does.
A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver. Proverbs 25:11
The Lord Jesus said in John 6:63 that “The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.”
My friend, we at Jesus Calls always serve the people bringing God’s word to them as well as pray for them during their moments of sorrow, in order to save them from destruction and to help such people.
We had earlier compiled several prayers into a book for each occasion to be used by the people. That book was a tremendous blessing to the people.
Now as led by the Lord, we have compiled God’s promises in this book for you to claim those promises and receive God’s answers to your every need. May this book bring life to your soul and blessing to your life.

I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:1,2)
Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4)
And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.
You may ask Me for anything in My name, and I will do it. -Lord Jesus (John 14:13,14)
If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask Him! (Matthew 7:11)
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, (Ephesians 3:20)

“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes”(Mark 9:23)

“Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven.” (Matthew 18:19) He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all-how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? (Romans 8:32)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:6)
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. (II Corinthians 1:20)
…your heavenly Father knows that you need them. (Matthew 6:32)
But for you who revere My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.(Malachi 4:2)
He said, “If you listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His eyes, if you pay attention to His commands and keep all His decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, Who heals you.” (Exodus 15:26)
But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)
The Lord will keep you free from every disease. He will not inflict on you the horrible diseases you knew in Egypt, ... (Deuteronomy 7:15)
I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal My people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.(Jeremiah 33:6)
He sent forth His word and healed them; He rescued them from the grave. (Psalm 107:20) then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. (Psalm 91:10)
... from among their tribes no-one faltered. (Psalm 105:37)
The Lord will sustain him on his sickbed and restore him from his bed of illness. (Psalm 41:3)
The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to go on the heights. (Habakkuk 3:19)
Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces but He will heal us; He has injured us but He will bind up our wounds. (Hosea 6:1)
The Lord gives strength to His people; the Lord blesses His people with peace. (Psalm 29:11)
Who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, Who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:3-5)
Worship the Lord your God, and His blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, (Exodus 23:25)
But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds’, declares the Lord, because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no-one cares. (Jeremiah 30:17)
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. (Isaiah 40:29)
...He (Lord Jesus) took up our infirmities and carried our diseases. (Matthew 8:17)
Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for You are the One I praise. (Jeremiah 17:14)
Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.

A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all;
He protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken. (Psalm 34:19,20)
The Lord redeems His servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in Him. (Psalm 34:22)
...The Lord be exalted, Who delights in the well-being of His servant. (Psalm 35:27)
You will not abandon me to the grave, nor will You let Your Holy One see decay. (Psalm 16:10)
The Lord will vindicate His people and have compassion on His servants.(Psalm 135:14)
in Whom are hidden all the tresures of wisdom and knowledge. (Colossians 2:3)
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.
(James 1:5)
God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore. Solomon’s wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the men of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts have good understanding. . . . (Psalm 111:10)
Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: that wisdom preserves the life of its possessor.

For the Lord gives wisdom, and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. (Proverbs 2:6)
And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men. (Luke 2:52)
To the man who pleases Him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, ... (Ecclesiastes 2:26)
Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, (Proverbs 3:13)
Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget My words or swerve from them. (Proverbs 4:5)
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is under-standing. (Proverbs 9:10)
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,...(Proverbs 1:7)
It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, Who has become for us wisdom from
God-that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.(I Corinthians 1:30)
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments, and His paths beyond tracing out! (Romans 11:33)
And the child grew and became strong; He was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon Him. (Luke 2:40)
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.(James 3:17)
The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. (Psalm 19:7)
“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are His. (Daniel 2:20)
For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. (Isaiah 41:13)
The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord.
(Proverbs 21:31)
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)
For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of Him.

The Lord your God is the One Who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory. (Deuteronomy 20:4)
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of
the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28)
Submission to Authority
Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to win their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. (Colossians 3:22)
Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no-one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men. (Titus 3:1,2)
Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. (Romans 13:1,2)
. . . to governors, who are sent by Him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.(I Peter 2:14)
Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honour, then honour. (Romans 13:7)
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh.(I Peter 2:18)
“Dominion and awe belong to God; He establishes order in the heights of heaven.” (Job 25:2)
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91:1)
He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. (Psalm 91:4) then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

he will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him. (Psalm 91:15)
See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared. (Exodus 23:20)
Like birds hovering overhead, the Lord Almighty will shield Jerusalem; He will shield it and deliver it, He will 'pass over' it and will rescue it. (Isaiah 31:5)
Who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, (Psalm 103:4)
The Lord has taken away your punishment, He has turned back your enemy. The Lord, the King of Israel, is with you; never again will you fear any harm.(Zephaniah 3:15)
You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. (Isaiah 25:4)
Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!
See, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands; your walls are ever before Me. (Isaiah 49:15,16)
And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. (Matthew 10:30) indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. (Psalm 121:4)
The Lord watches over you - the Lord is your shade at your right hand; (Psalm 121:5) the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. (Psalm 121:6)
The Lord will keep you from all harm- He will watch over your life; (Psalm 121:7) the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. (Psalm 121:8)
The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. (Deuteronomy 31:8)
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. (Proverbs 18:10)
When I said, "My foot is slipping," Your love, O Lord, supported me. (Psalm 94:18)
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.(Isaiah 43:2)
For in the day of trouble He will keep me safe in His dwelling; He will hide me in the shelter of His tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. (Psalm 27:5)
Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings from the wicked who assail me. (Psalm 17:8,9)
For surely, O Lord, You bless the righteous; You surround them with Your favor as with a shield. (Psalm 5:12)
The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him. (Nahum 1:7)
A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.

The Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.
(II Thessalonians 3:3)
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.

Blessed is he who has regard for the weak; the Lord delivers him in times of trouble.
The Lord will protect him and preserve his life; He will bless him in the land and not surrender him to the desire of his foes.

As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people both now and forevermore.

The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. (Exodus 14:14)
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. (Psalm 18:2)
God is our refuge and strength, an everpresent help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1)
Blessed are you, O Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord? He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword. Your enemies will cower before you, and you will trample down their high places.”

“Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.” (Genesis 15:1)
He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken. (Psalm 62:2)
He has preserved our lives and kept our feet from slipping. (Psalm 66:9)
Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distress. (Psalm 107:28)
I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. (Isaiah 62:6)
Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy. (Genesis 26:12,13)
May the Lord, the God of your fathers, increase you a thousand times and bless you as He has promised! (Deuteronomy 1:11)
And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)

The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of His bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.
(Deuteronomy 28:12)
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this”, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.
(Malachi 3:10)
Honour the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine. (Proverbs 3:9,10)
You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will My people be shamed. (Joel 2:26)
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, (Psalm 23:1,2)
Then the Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your land. The Lord will again delight in you and make you prosperous, just as He delighted in your fathers. (Deuteronomy 30:9)
Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. (Psalm 112:3)
I will bless them and the places surrounding My hill. I will send down showers in season; there will be showers of blessing. (Ezekiel 34:26)
I will satisfy the priests with abundance, and My people will be filled with My bounty,” declares the Lord. (Jeremiah 31:14)
You would be fed with the finest of wheat; with honey from the rock I would satisfy you. (Psalm 81:16)
…to put their hope in God, Who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.(I Timothy 6:17) I will restore twice as much to you. (Zechariah 9:12)

They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?” “Haven’t you read,” He replied, "that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.” “Why then,” they asked, “did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?” Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your
wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery.”

Yet I am writing you a new command; its truth is seen in Him and you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining. Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness.(I John 2:8,9)
To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband. But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more. (Psalm 10:18)
He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free, (Psalm 146:7)
Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. (Psalm 82:3)
He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; He will not despise their plea. (Psalm 102:17)
He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the alien, giving him food and clothing. (Deuteronomy 10:18)
I rescued the poor who cried for help, and the fatherless who had none to assist him. (Job 29:12)

repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. (Ephesians 6:16)
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (Hebrews 11:1)
The one who trusts will never be dismayed. (Isaiah 28:16)
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God.(I John 5:1)

As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame.”

Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him. - Lord Jesus (John 7:38)
Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”(John 11:40)
To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.(Colossians 1:27)
There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.
(Proverbs 23:18)
...but the Lord's unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in Him. (Psalm 32:10)
...But the man who makes Me his refuge will inherit the land and possess My holy mountain. (Isaiah 57:13)
But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.

Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.” (Isaiah 12:2)
The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him, (Nahum 1:7)
Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God. (Psalm 146:5)
Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. (Psalm 125:1)
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23)
The Lord redeems His servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in Him. (Psalm 34:22)
Let all who take refuge in You be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You. (Psalm 5:11)
...Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.
This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.
(I John 3:10,11)
If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?
(I John 3:17)
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have
not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

He who does not love Me will not obey My teaching. These words you hear are not My own; they belong to the Father who sent Me.(John 14:24)
We love because He first loved us. (I John 4:19)
And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us. (Romans 5:5)
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”(Luke 10:27)
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.(1 John 4:8)
The Lord watches over all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy. (Psalm 145:20)
Live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.(Ephesians 5:2)
As it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.”

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in Him.(I John 4:16)
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.(I John 4:18)
‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ (Matthew 22:37)
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will isHis good, pleasing and perfect will.
