A warm welcome Thank you for choosing a JESS education for your child. Being happy at school is what we all want for our children; fitting in and feeling part of the school community is important. Wearing the right uniform for school and sport helps to develop this sense of belonging. Our team has carefully selected these items to reflect the needs of all our students and hope that they will wear them with pride. In the following pages you will find: 1. JESS Sportswear and Swimwear Our sportswear and swimwear provider is J20sports
Sportswear A full list of the required sportswear items are within the following pages.Please see the J20sports website for the available sizing and costs. PE Kit is compulsory for all students from year groups FS1 to Y13. Modesty PE kit is also available and can be pre-ordered if required. Team Kit will need to be purchased if and when students are selected to represent the school. Team selection will begin in September and depending on the Sport will run throughout the academic year. Team tops will be needed for the following sports: Athletics vest for Athletics, XC and Aquathlon. Rugby, Football and Netball all require the specific top for each activity. Football shirts should not be worn for Rugby and vice versa.
Swimwear The following policy applies from FS1 to Y6 at both Jumeirah and Ranches primary schools. Primary students from FS1 to Y6 are expected to wear a JESS swim costume for curriculum lessons. Swimwear Kit options Boys – Jammers or Shorts Girls – Club swimsuit FS1 – Y6 Girls – Pro suit for Years 3 – 6 Unisex – rash vest (can be worn over the swimwear in the water) Hats – JJ Blue, AR White Modesty Swim Kit – is available to pre-order if required Squad Swimming Kit (Y3-Y6) Those selected to represent the school in the swimming squad must purchase a Swim Squad t-shirt. It is optional for students to wear the official JESS swimming costume or jammers. However, if they choose to wear their own swimwear, it must be navy in colour and appropriate for swimming training and lessons (team selection will begin in September). Secondary students may purchase a JESS swim costume from J20 or a plain navy coloured costume from an external supplier. Likewise for a school team - they have the option to buy a suitable race costume.
