My Beloved Son:
How very special you have always been to me. You were my first born and my first pure and unconditional love. Throughout the years, you have always shown me how much you cared by your kind words, generous deeds and protective demeanor. I have always been so proud to call you, my son. However, our life has not been without its challenges. There were wonderful times when you made me laugh and other times when you made me cry. These experiences, whether good or bad, only served to strengthen our precious bond as mother and son. Although losing you is so devastating, I am grateful for every moment we shared and for the everlasting memories embedded in my heart. Thank you, God, for the abundant joy of being the mother of Mark Johnson, Jr.

I will miss the jokes and hip roaring laughter as we worked side by side. Our bond grew stronger by the day and was stronger than anything I’ve known.
