Mr. Alvin Winston was born on March 22, 1954 to the late Mr. Essex Winston and the late Ada Winston. He departed this life on October 16th, 2025.
Alvin was born in Memphis, Tennessee and married Willie Eva Winston in 1988, in which they reared one son, William Christopher Winston.
Alvin had a very witty personality and was always the life of the party. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and making sure his pool was in top notch shape for the Summer. He loved to grill various foods and making sure his yard was immaculate was on the top of the list. Alvin served in the United States Army for two years and worked for the United States Postal Service for 38 years. He was preceded in death by his brothers Eddie Wilkerson, Arthur McNeal, Troy McNeal, Calvin Winston and sister, Susie Elbert.
He leaves to cherish his memories; wife, Willie Eva Winston; son, Dana Winston; daughter, Deshelle (Alvin) Burrows; son, William Christopher Winston; sister, Edith Dover; grand-daughter, Danesha Winston; grand-daughter, D’nyla Winston; granddaughter, Kimora Winston; grand-daughter, Kimiyah Winston; grand-daughter, Macy Winston all of Memphis, Tennessee; grand-son, Evan Burrows; grand-son, Eric Burrows of Georgia; three great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Affectionately called “Daddy, Al, Bookie, Granddad, Uncle Alvin and Twin, Alvin will be missed immensely.
