The Saw Mill Greenway is a 1.8 mile long rails-to-trail biking and pedestrian path serving as a key connector for the neighborhoods of Beechview and Brookline in the city of Pittsburgh. This designed trail is the first phase in an extended envisioned network that connects from the major T-intersection at Castle Shannon to the existing Three Rivers Heritage Trail at the West End Bridge, a major crossing to the North Side neighborhood. This vision has the potential to connect the South Hills area to the larger region, with environmental, political and economic advantages.
