NJT
NJT is live theatre dedicated to the exploration of universal themes and issues filtered through a lens of the Jewish experience. We use our productions to enrich lives, promote inclusivity, and build community. NJT’s 2025 season was honored with 31 nominations from the St. Louis Theatre Circle Awards. As one of St. Louis’s most honored small professional theatres, NJT reaches more than 6,500 patrons each year with award-winning stories that lift the spirit, foster empathy, and unite our community. Featuring three regional premieres, the 2026 season offers a dynamic collection of stories that challenge, amuse, provoke, and unite us in what it means to be human. St. Louis Jewish Film Festival
Travel the world through film! The J’s St. Louis Jewish Film Festival showcases national and international cinema that explores universal issues through traditional Jewish values, opposing viewpoints and new perspectives. Documentaries, feature-length and short films are presented during two weeks, with community engagement opportunities before and after each film, when available. With more than 1,800 attendees, JFF delivers a vibrant mix of films that make audiences laugh, cry, and reconsider what it means to be human. Every genre, from documentary to romance, offers a fresh lens on the stories that shape us. This year’s festival presents a dozen gripping selections that explore courage, conscience, and the stories that shape our collective memory. Youth Theatre
Serving more than 170 young artists annually, The J’s Youth Theatre builds confidence, creativity, and increases participants’ communication and discipline through an all-inclusive performing arts experience. Weekly rehearsals in music, dance, and acting culminate in two fully produced junior musicals and two KIDS presentations that showcase everyone’s growth and talent. Theatre Unlimited
Theatre Unlimited Theatre Unlimited, founded in 1987 through the J’s Life Enrichment Department, is one of St. Louis’s oldest barrier-free theatre programs for adults with disabilities. Each fall and spring, participants audition, rehearse, and perform fully staged productions in a supportive, inclusive environment. Rehearsals incorporate ensemble-building activities, chorus singing, role development, and foundational theatre skills while strengthening social, cognitive, emotional, and communication abilities. Theatre Unlimited fosters creative expression, confidence, and meaningful connections, empowering participants to shine on stage and build lasting friendships through the transformative power of theatre.
