Mark your calendars for October 14 and order your solar eclipse glasses now because a rare occurrence will happen on that date. It’s called an Annular Solar Eclipse.
Where we live, as the moon passes the sun, it will be eclipsed about 60%. The maximum eclipse is projected to be at 1:22 pm. The next of these rare total eclipses will take place on April 8 of next year if you want to see a total eclipse, make travel arrangements now for one of the major U.S. cities inside the path of the total eclipse - San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse.
