YOU GOT THIS

WHO I A
I’m Jana, I’m 20 years old, and I’ve moved a lot in my life: from Kyiv to Budapest, Düsseldorf, Heidelberg, and now Berlin, which has truly become home. Moving between cities and cultures at a young age taught me how to adapt quickly, be curious, and feel comfortable in new environments. I came to Berlin to study Fashion Management and submitted my bachelor thesis last month. I’m currently in my gap year
between Bachelor and Master, using this time very intentionally to gain hands-on experience before continuing academically. My studies gave me a strong foundation in brand strategy, consumer behavior, product development, and fashion business, and I’ve consistently combined that academic perspective with practical experience alongside it
Sport, however, has always been the real constant in my life. My grandfather coached a women’s basketball team in Odessa and still lives there today. Right now, he sits in the small apartment I remember from my childhood and waits for the electricity to come back on so he can watch the Olympics. In the middle of this war, sport is what keeps him sane, a rare form of stability and hope in this horrible situation. My dad is a passionate swimmer and road cyclist, so I naturally grew up swimming and cycling as well. My mom believed my siblings and I should try everything, from horseback riding and tennis to gymnastics and dancing, and she made sure we did. Today, I run, ski, cycle, swim and go to the gym regularly. Sport is truly part of who I am and part of my family’s story.
And because of that, adidas has always been there too. My grandfather wore adidas while coaching, my father in the pool, my mother on the tennis court, my brother on the football field. In many ways, adidas has been part of our everyday sport life for years
WHY ADIDA
I used to think football was dumb. Like honestly, 22 millionaires chasing a ball? Then I went to the Olympiastadion in Berlin for the first time and this moment honestly changed everything for me. What struck me wasn’t the game itself, it was the atmosphere. Thousands of people reacting at the exact same second, strangers celebrating together. It felt like 90 minutes of collective joy and in a

world that often feels fragmented, that kind of shared energy is rare.
Berlin was the first place where I truly felt how powerful sport culture can be. That’s why the Berlin Activation role resonates so strongly with me. It sits exactly where brand, community and cultural relevance intersect. Monitoring city trends, understanding what moves people locally, translating insights into activation, and building bridges between wholesale partners, creators and consumers, that combination of analysis, creativity and execution is exactly what I want to work on. It’s about making the brand tangible in the city. And Berlin, with its cultural depth and diversity, is the perfect place for that

understanding. I’m used to working with numbers, identifying growth opportunities and translating performance data into strategic decisions.
In parallel, I consult the fashion-tech startup CACHE on monetization and editorial strategy, which allows me to think about brand positioning and revenue models from a strategic perspective. For my bachelor thesis, I collaborated with DRESSX, one of the largest digital fashion companies globally, and researched how Virtual Try-On and AI recommendations influence fashion decision making. This project combined academic research with real industry application and strengthened my understanding of consumer psychology in fashion.
From March to August, I will join Lidl Asia in Singapore in hallProduct Development & Merchandising, working on trend research, supplier negotiations, cross-functional coordination and project management. This experience will further deepen my understanding of product cycles and operational execution
WHAT “YOU GOT THIS” MEANS TO M
For me, “You Got This” isn’t loud. It’s not about big speeches or dramatic moments. It’s the early mornings in the pool. It’s the sun rising while you’re on the bike. It’s going for a run even when it’s freezing. It’s missing a shot and still asking for the ball again.
There’s this scene in Ted Lasso where Ted puts up a simple “BELIEVE” sign in the locker room. It’s just a piece of paper taped to the wall, but it’s a reminder to stick with it, to trust the process, and to get a little better every day.
WHAT I BRING TO THE TABL
I started early. At 15, I registered my own small business and created clothing inspired by the books I read during Covid. It wasn’t a large brand, but it taught me ownership, discipline and how to turn ideas into something real. During my bachelor’s degree, I have been working for over 1.5 years as a Business Development Associate at mrge, managing fashion advertisers and publishers. My responsibilities include generating B2B leads, conducting cold Outreach, managing advertiser and publisher accounts, optimizing affiliate revenue, building Salesforce-based CRM automations, maintaining performance dashboards, creating KPI-driven presentations and supporting campaign setups. This role sharpened my analytical skills and gave me a strong commercia
Sport teaches you that progress is built in invisible moments. “You Got This” is not about winning or about one big anticipated moment. It’s about continuing. It’s about choosing yourself again and again, especially when it’s uncomfortable. And pressure is a privilege. It challenges us and pushes us to grow in ways we wouldn’t otherwise.
Sport shaped the way I think, the way I handle pressure and the way I approach challenges. And I would love to bring that mindset to adidas, the brand that has been part of my family’s sport story for years.
Sport raised me. And I’d love to contribute to the brand that made that feeling wearable
