THANK YOU TO W2 FARMS FOR THE PURCHASE OF LEGL ROXY 14M
THANK YOU TO THESE OPERATIONS FOR PURCHASING GROUPS OF COMMERCIAL BRED HEIFERS RUSCHOWSKI LAND AND CATTLE, KELLY BARNES, GRANT BROCKMANN, GABE WOTSCHELL
On behalf of everyone at Big Sky Cattle Company / Letniak Farms, I am pleased to welcome you to our 2026 bull o ering. As we enter the new year and re ect back on 2025, we have many reasons to be grateful. Ample moisture, a smooth harvest, strong cattle prices and a dependable team, making the short list. rough the hard years and the favourable years, God is good, and this year has been a true testament to that. We are met with unprecedented opportunity in the cattle business. e current cattle market presents an opportunity to invest in genetics that ensure future re nement and progress in your cow herd.
is marks our family’s 43rd year breeding purebred Charolais cattle. Being part of the Charolais breed for 4 generations, you will inevitably develop a type. For us, this has resulted in breeding cattle that excel in a low input commercial environment without sacri cing in terms of performance. Our philosophy is, you can work for your cattle, or they can work for you. Being a mixed farming operation puts a signi cant emphasis on the prerequisite for cattle to thrive in a setting that doesn’t focus solely on them. Currently, our farming and ranching operations are split 50/50. With a cow herd consisting of 90% commercial, red Simm/Angus females, the remaining 10% consisting of purebreds. e majority of our commercial cows will be bred to Charolais bulls from our program. Buy with con dence knowing the commercial cow business is our business too.
Although our purebred division is small in numbers, you will nd merit through the consistency of this o ering. As we all know, consistency and uniformity sells, when it comes time to market your calf crop. Improvement is incremental. We have made a conscious e ort to re ne our cowherd, lowering birth weights and increasing vigor at birth, without sacri cing weights in the fall. e majority of our purebred herd is spring calving, focused on producing 2yr old bulls. Our spring calving division is not creep fed, and is managed no di erently than our commercial herd. e weights as printed are what you can expect from calves sired by these bulls. In addition to the 2yr olds, we have a select o ering of yearling bulls to choose from. Whether you’re targeting performance, calving-ease, or red factor, we have bulls to meet your needs.
2025 has been a memorable year showing cattle. Last year we acquired Bar SK Strikeout 310L, he went on to leave his mark across several shows this fall. Earning Supreme Champion Bull- Purdue, Grand Champion Charolais Bull- Stockade Roundup, and Reserve Champion Senior Champion Bull- Agribition. We are excited to see the impact he has on our herd in the years to come.
In closing, I would like to say thank you to every individual who has helped shape our program into what it is today. ank you to the customers who have supported our program over the past 43 years. e cattle business really is a people business and your trust and continued support is held in high regard. To maintain operational productivity, it takes an innovative, dedicated team. We would not be where we are today without their commitment and daily e ort, for that we are greatly appreciative.
Please reach out with any questions about our o ering or to set up a time to look through the bulls. We look forward to seeing everyone at the farm this spring.
Sincerely,
Jaren
