The UK industrial market continues to grow at pace, down in no small part to the unceasing demand of online retailers. The requirements have changed, the number of employees in this sector is increasing, the size of unit in demand is increasing, both in floor plate and haunch height, and the use of modern technologies is becoming key to their success. Despite this, they remain largely unpopular with local population, present their own design challenges, and many planning authorities need persuading of their benefits to their area.
