Echoes is a floating survival shelter located off the coast of Puntarenas, Costa Rica. The structure draws inspiration from the traditional cosmo house of the Bribri people, an indigenous group known for their deep connection with nature and the cosmos. This shelter is a modern interpretation of this cosmic dome, providing a place of refuge that aligns with the Bribri’s tranquil beliefs and relationship with the environment. It is a space that increases survival in adverse conditions but also promotes a way of life that is in tune with the natural world, echoing the Bribri’s culture for the earth and the cosmos.

Phase 1
Phase 1 was the conceptual and learning phase with AI text to image features using Midjourney and Microsoft Copilot. These programs were the foundational inspiration for the interior and exterior of the survival shelter
In my group of two, during phase 1, I generated all the Midjourney images, assisted with research, and contributed to the poster layout.

Phase 2
During Phase 2 the sketch to image AI feature was used to further our design. New AI programs such as Rendair and Stable Diffusion were also used to enhance AI image results. My group member made a Rhino model of our survival shelter as well to use with the 3D base to image feature on Rendair and Stable Diffusion.

In Phase 2, I generated all the Midjourney images and some Rendair images. I also made all the diagrams (bubble and parti) and sketches used for the 3rd and 1st floor of the shelter. 6

Plush Pals is a dynamic retail space located in Denver, Colorado that merges the realms of food and beverage with the retail function of personalized plush animals. This toy store strives to celebrate the connection humans have with animals through the curvilinear forms and symbolism of the Hydrangea flower.
