Tra le alte montagne innevate della Svizzera, in un imponente castello, vive un terribile drago. Qualche volta il raffreddore arriva proprio nel momento sbagliato. Babbo Natale fa uno starnuto dietro l’altro, brrrr che freddo, ha i brividi e la gola in fiamme. Ma sa che i bambini di tutto il mondo lo aspettano impazienti. Deve consegnare i regali in poche ore e, come ogni anno, il lavoro da sbrigare è tantissimo. Non gli resta che bere una tisana bollente, coprirsi per bene e partire con le sue renne. Ma alla prima consegna, mentre legge seduto in poltrona la letterina che una bimba gli ha scritto, si addormenta profondamente. Panico. Le renne si agitano. Chi consegnerà i doni quest’anno? Ma una squadra di uccellini molto intraprendenti si fa avanti. Le piccole creature si alzano in volo ognuna con un pacco colorato pronto per finire nelle case dei bambini. Piccolo particolare: gli uccellini non sanno leggere. Che succede se i regali vengono consegnati ai bambini sbagliati?

Lili volette d’une fenêtre à l’autre. Elle voit tout : la maman de Manon qui sourit à celle de Moïra, le papa de Kofi qui répare le chat automate. Il tratto deciso di Franco Vignazia accompagna con le sue illustrazioni il viaggio di Maria e Giuseppe verso Betlemme nei giorni in cui sta per nascere Gesù, fino alla fioca luce che illumina la mangiatoia in cui Maria partorisce il Bambino. Saranno dei poveri pastori a ricevere per primi l’annuncio di un angelo: “Oggi è nato per voi un Salvatore nella città di Davide”. Questa nascita mette in viaggio i Magi, che da Oriente si dirigono verso Gerusalemme e silenziosi portano i loro doni – oro, incenso e mirra – a Gesù.

Illustratrice e designer, ha preso parte a numerose mostre ed esibizioni in Ucraina e a livello internazionale. Risale al 2016 l’ideazione della serie di libri per bambini ispirata agli abitanti della foresta, fra i quali Chi cresce nel parco?, subito entrato nel prestigioso catalogo internazionale di letteratura per l’infanzia The White Ravens redatto a Monaco di Baviera. I tukoni sono i misteriosi abitanti della foresta. Alcuni si prendono cura degli alberi, altri vivono accanto agli animali e li proteggono. In estate spuntano nuove forme di vita: cuccioli, germogli, alberi, uccellini. E quasi tutti i compleanni nella foresta si festeggiano in estate. Tutti i nuovi nati hanno fretta di crescere per prepararsi ad affrontare il primo inverno. Ma qualcuno nella foresta fa eccezione. C’è un piccolo abete che ogni anno nasce in inverno, ogni anno in un luogo diverso. E il tukoni che deve prendersi cura di lui sa che non sarà facile trovarlo, ma sa anche che il piccolo abete non sopravviverà all’inverno se non verrà trovato in tempo. Per fortuna i tukoni sono creature magiche e la foresta in cui vivono è un luogo in cui tutto può succedere. Pare infatti che con l’aiuto di una sciarpa magica e del tukoni pernice sarà possibile trovare il piccolo abete prima che sia troppo tardi. Venite a scoprire perché!
