Ivanhoe Grammar School is immensely proud of our Class of 2016 and their achievements in their final year of secondary school. In addition to all the wonderful co-curricular and community service accomplishments during the year, our VCE and International Baccalaureate (IB) students have again produced another strong set of academic results. Students studied hard and approached their Year 12 exams with dedication and commitment. As an open-entry school, students of all abilities are a part of our School community. Although the results below share some of our top achievements, the importance of celebrating the personal best of all our students cannot be underestimated. Congratulations to all our students who, on a consolidated (VCE and IB) basis achieved the following:
95+ ATAR = Top 5% of the State

11 per cent of our Year 12 students achieved an ATAR of 95 or above
•
One in four students achieved an ATAR of 90
•
Just on half of our students achieved an ATAR equivalent of 80 or above
•
And most significantly, there were 29 perfect study scores in VCE and IB subjects.

IB RESULTS A growing number of year 12 students at Ivanhoe Grammar School each year choose to undertake the well-respected International Baccalaureate (IB) to expand their options for tertiary education. We are extremely proud of the achievements of our 2016 students.

EXCEPTIONAL RESULTS Congratulations to our top achievers: our IB Dux and our Dux of VCE at each campus. For these three female students, their dedication and hard work was realised with exceptional results. Olivia Leyden received a perfect IB score placing her in the top 0.3% of IB graduates internationally. Leah Traill and Chloe Ioannidis ATARs place them in the top 1% of students in the State. This is a significant achievement for each of these students and we wish them all the best in their chosen tertiary studies.

Figure out what is it that you want to achieve and start working towards it as soon as possible. Year 12 is a lot of work; there are no shortcuts but it’s all worth it once you get to see your hard work pay off. Balance is also important: don’t neglect your friends, family and the social elements of school. DREAM CAREER: I would like to be a doctor.

I would tell students to believe in themselves. As clichéd as it sounds, have faith in your abilities because if you work really hard and at your absolute best then you are capable of achieving far more than you think and you really will surprise yourself. DREAM CAREER: A career with a human rights focus, where I am able to be a part of rewarding work that has a positive impact on peoples’ lives.
