Hydrogen fusion holds the promise of providing a safe and abundant energy source without impact on the climate. In southern France, the Members of the ITER Project – China, the European Union, India, Japan, Korea, Russia and the United States – are building the machine that will open the way to harnessing fusion, the energy source of the Sun and stars. La fusion de l’hydrogène peut offrir à l’humanité une source d’énergie sûre, abondante et sans impact sur le climat. À Saint-Paul-lez-Durance (13), près d’Aix-en-Provence, les sept membres d’ITER – la Chine, l’Union européenne, l’Inde, le Japon, la Corée, la Russie et les États-Unis – construisent la machine qui ouvre la voie vers la maîtrise de l’énergie du Soleil et des étoiles.
